Gasp! The Life Aquatic is one of my favourite films of all time! It's sublime!

I just didnt get it it all. Just found it very very very very dull.

Like i said im no dunce i just dont get the films. My sis watched the tennenbaums film with me and even she said she hated it.
 
Attack of the Killer tomatoes- but lets face it with that title you should not be expecting quality.

May be not the worst films, but definately the biggest dissapointments were the second trilogy of Star Wars films and Terminator 3 onwards


and just remembered 'DUNE' - what a pile of complete and utter crap at a period of quality sci fi films
 
How do you define "worst film"?

Quite a lot of the implicit definitions on show here seem to be either "I didn't like it", "I didn't understand it", or "everyone else thought it was good, so I thought I'd be controversial"...

For me, there are several genres of film that are unlikely to ever hold my interest, so to pick a "worst" film from one of them seems a little harsh. There are also several films that are so over-hyped that the end product just seems somehow disppointing - again I think labelling one of those as "worst" isn't neccesarily a true reflection on the films inherent badness. Finally, how on earth do I take account of films so bad that they somehow become good?

I can easily decide whether I like a film or not, but every time I try and think of a worst ever and come up with a candidate - I start to like it a bit more - any film that inspires strong feeling was probably not a complete waste of time to watch. So, I think the truly worst film ever made is one that most of us have probably seen at some point but had so little impact or relevance that we've never thought of it ever again. Unfortunately the nature of that film means that I just can't think of it right now...

The problem with the terminator films is that there is such a gap between all of the films and one of the main characters John Conner is played by like 3 actors. It is all also a film about time travel and creating different futures which is a bit of a minefield really. That said although i was really dissapointed with terminator 3 at first i really liked when i re-watched it and have come to love it as much as the others. Terminator salvation was again a slow grower but i liked it more second time round.

At the end of the day if the world is taken over by killer robots then no amount of john conners is gonna crack it.
 
Tropic Thunder - Big cast and didn't make me laugh once. Dull.
