Worst Movie Ever

The deer hunter,worst ever.

Bad call Tony and its only because I like you that no red is being issued. The Deer Hunter is up there as one of the greats. De Nero, Walken, John Savage, Meryl Streep, its a harrowing masterpiece. Winner of 5 Academy awards including Best Picture and Best Soundtrack by the fantastic John Williams. The film was genius and up there as one of the best ever made.

Boy are you in for a frowning when I catch up with you.

A bit long though. The wedding scene in particular.

The problem with the terminator films is that there is such a gap between all of the films and one of the main characters John Conner is played by like 3 actors. It is all also a film about time travel and creating different futures which is a bit of a minefield really. That said although i was really dissapointed with terminator 3 at first i really liked when i re-watched it and have come to love it as much as the others. Terminator salvation was again a slow grower but i liked it more second time round.

At the end of the day if the world is taken over by killer robots then no amount of john conners is gonna crack it.

The first two films area bout time travel and work as there is no excuse for the next films.
Different actors- well there have been loads of Jame Bond's , the issue is not the amount of actors, its the standard of acting and getting the character right.
Salvation-I will have to take your word for it, I can't see myself watching it again for quite some time. My 10 year old son watched it at the cinema with me and thought it was great, but I then put on T1 and T2 the following week and he was blown away-especially by T2 and agreed they were much much better.

Muriel's wedding, utter dog *****!!! Had to sit through it for browny points or a pass of some sort

Does it mean that I'm 'good with colours' and perhaps 'not the marrying kind' if I liked this film. Quite a lot, to be honest.

Much as I respect my pal GHG, I'm also not a lover of 'The Deer Hunter'. It's certainly not deserving of a 'worst movie ever' moniker, but I just found it rather dull when I was expecting something truly epic.

There's a book with the screenplay in it out already (spotted it in Smiths yesterday). Looks pretty good from what I read of it. Bill Murray as the demolitions expert badger. I don't care if it's FMF or not, I'd pay to see that.

It's not the worst film ever, but worst scene from a film ever goes to I, Robot for that blatant product placement of the shoes near the start of it.
