So then, some clarity. Despite all of the rhetoric on the thread, the Muslim Council of Britain unequivocally condemned the attack in an official statement on national TV within hours of it happening.

I, and many others must have missed that then. Not that I actually saw or heard much of it until later anyway, but I never heard of any statement from them at all.

As usual, I'd say look no further than the Media as this won't have been half as salacious a story. But then, just as usual, they'd have no mandate if the wider general public stopped allowing itself to be spoon-fed and tried actually thinking for itself.

Don't people realise that the anti-Muslim witch-hunt (and consequent bad feeling between the communities) that always follows the actions of these extremists is EXACTLY WHAT THE EXTREMISTS WANT!?

I know what you're saying G, I've been one of those saying that these animals are not representative of Muslims in general. The media can take responsibility then, for some of the reprisal attacks that happened afterwards.

Full responsibility would only be taken by the ****heads who carried out the reprisal attacks, driving wedges between the communities, increasing fear and doing the extremists work for them. I don't usually post in Homer's bar but a few people on here need to stop using the papers as their sole source of information. Muslim leaders always come out and condemn Islamic terrorist attacks hours after they happen, it's not their fault that the media don't bother reporting it, and they won't because it doesn't fit in with the angle that sells the most papers.
Was Rigby actually beheaded by the way? Most of the media seems to have stopped using the term and started just calling it a murder, if there never was any actual beheading I can't help but feel the media have been adding fuel to the fire.

There was that one guy who tweeted that he saw a beheading in the street straight after the attack. I heard one official press report say it was an 'attempted beheading' quite early on. Everyone seems to have picked up on the former. False media, we don't need it do we?
