When will the takeover go through? The Waiting Game...

Whilst we are on the subject of ticket prices, it is 14 euros to go and watch Borrusia Monchengladbach in the bundesliga, that's on a terrace with a pint of beer in view of the pitch.

The ticket prices in this country are stupid, it's only a matter of finding a cheap flight and then it's cheaper to watch a game abroad
The only thing you wouldn’t have the smell of the East Stand Burger Bar and the Thrill of watching the Mighty Blues

Didn’t Bradford City run a similar scheme (albeit not a £1 a ticket), but a version thereof??
They did really cheap season tickets. I used to work in London with someone that was a Bradford season ticket holder, he'd only make a handful of matches a year but the season tickets were so cheap it worked out cheaper to buy one rather than pay on the door whenever he went.

On the property side we’re 3 weeks tomorrow since Heads of Terms were agreed.

Has the deal actually been decoupled from the property side?

Because under the previous timetables we’d be approaching the time when the agreement for lease should have been entered into.

I think it’s true a period of 12+ weeks was mentioned for DD on the revised deal.
However, I think elsewhere SCC confirmed that DD would not start on that deal until the takeover of the club was completed…
You are right in that it has taken so long now that they could potentially have completed the new DD, and the original deal (with amended payment towards RH development) gone ahead…

Its the NL that are holding things up at the moment. Maybe they are p***** at not getting their £1m. So they are doing all the other clubs a favour by disrupting our pre-season.
Is this a fact? Is it the National league that are now holding this all up? Surprising with someone from D&R on the board isn't it? 🤔

He said the weekend would slip but fully expects this week. does seem like a rinse and repeat every week though. I work for a firm who have a large M&A presence and oversee acquisitions of complexed nature and its usually 10 days they ratify most deals when signing off with legal ramifications etc, this is edging past that now.
I wouldn’t say it’s a fair comparison.

Your firm is doing this day in day out, it’s their buisness so it’s not really comparable.
Your firm will have its own in house legal department that it has control over. They will have arrangements in place with external counsel where they need a second opinion/ do not have the correct specialist knowledge.

To be clear are you saying that the legal department finishes their work in 10 days or the deal is ‘completed’ in 10 days- they are not the same thing

If anything your example shows exactly why this is ‘taking so long’ as some people put it.

If a firm that does this for a living with in house lawyers takes 10 days then what chance do we have?

Any updates ? Medway said Friday then hopefully the weekend then cot quite the weekend. Not looking good

It moved into the home straight the middle of last week, hence the hope that it would have been done Fri/Sat. I then reported that it had slipped into this week. I haven't put a day on it, but I maintain my confidence that it'll be done in the next few days.

But not today? I don't mind either way, but just for my sanity 😂
