Question What is making you happy today?

Watching Pointless just before and they had a round with pictures of all people that were born in 1953.

One of the pictures was correctly identified as Dianne Abbott. They gave a fact about her that amazed me. When she was at school (an all girls school) she played Lady McDuff in a joint production with the male equivalent school. The boy who played her husband was also shown in this round of Pointless and was none other than Michael Portillo.

Yesterday I saw a magnificent sight. About 60 mods on scooters at cuckoo corner obviously heading for the seafront. Some seemed old, probably original mods, but most were youngish, keeping a great sub culture alive. You always get one that has a parka jacket on with The Who on the back.
It was a bit like below.

Sailed through my annual check up at the dentist's yesterday.Only drag was that I had to pay 45euros to get my teeth cleaned.Still I'll get that partially/fully reimbursed -probably next month as we have an excellent "mutua" ie private health insurance.Certainly dentistry in France works a lot better than in Spain (100% private) and in the UK too from what I remember & hear.

I knew that (having read her autobioghaphy & recent memoir A woman like me) Fact she was at the girls grammar school in Harrow and I presume MP was at the more famous "public" school-Pity I always watch Pointless mute while I'm waiting for the early evening news. :Winking:

Just had a covid injection at the local chemist's.No reaction so far.Could have had the flu jab too but Mrs Tangled didn't fancy it.No queues on the first day of the campaign for both jabs in France.
Had my 2 last Tues at same time in both arms. Flu arm ached big time for couple of hrs after, Covid arm, not a thing!.
Following day, Flu arm fine Covid arm very tender!. Both arms fine on Thursday & no 'after effects', feeling lousy, tired etc.

Waiting in the departures area at Heathrow Terminal 3, for our flight to Florida ( not Clearwater or St. Pete’s! ) to be announced.
Watching the hundreds of people waiting for their flights to wherever, and everyone looks happy and smiling.
What amazes me is all the flight destinations are fairly long haul, so you get fed and watered etc whilst on board. Yet all the eateries here, Sushi bars, Wagamama, other ‘ all day breakfast’ and lunch venues etc, are all rammed solid?.
The prices aren’t cheap either, we pack some ham rolls etc before leaving home, and devour them after checking in to save a small fortune!.
