Waiting in the departures area at Heathrow Terminal 3, for our flight to Florida ( not Clearwater or St. Pete’s! ) to be announced.
Watching the hundreds of people waiting for their flights to wherever, and everyone looks happy and smiling.
What amazes me is all the flight destinations are fairly long haul, so you get fed and watered etc whilst on board. Yet all the eateries here, Sushi bars, Wagamama, other ‘ all day breakfast’ and lunch venues etc, are all rammed solid?.
The prices aren’t cheap either, we pack some ham rolls etc before leaving home, and devour them after checking in to save a small fortune!.

My wife always does something similar on our short -haul flights -usually Barna to Gatwick.

Our last Visit to the Pearl Dragon before the current owners retire. Superb meal, lots of reminiscing with them and our wine on the house (that was a lovely surprise).

Yep, they have sold the business as a going concern to a group from London, with the waiting and kitchen personnel remaining. The current owners go on the 27th Oct and the new owners start on 30th Oct.

Declared my car as SORN at midday on Thursday last week. Today have received a cheque refund for £170 for the remaining tax. Was expecting it to be weeks.

For those of you that enjoy the spirit of Halloween!

A few weeks ago I received a parking ticket for having two tyres on the edge of the kerb - to cut a long story short I appealed the ticket and heard back from the council today who informed me my fine has been cancelled and all because they had failed to put up a notice that was visible (which I highlighted in my appeal)
