Question What is making you happy today?

I'm being victimised here just because I'm at a mature point in my life and I've not been very well. This is definitely an ageist attack. She'd better not forget the Daddies Sauce :Winking:
Since we last met at Dave C's funeral 2 weeks ago, i've gone downhill as well!. Using a walking stick helped the left side of my body, but put more pressure on the right side. Result is now i'm suffering from Sciatica on my right side, which comes & go's like S.U.F.C's problems!.
Definitely no 'Mexican cartwheels ' in the bedroom this weekend!.

Ouch. You certainly sound in the wars Tony. Any thoughts about using a physiotherapist to see whether they could relieve the discomfort?

I'll give it another few days as we're off to Yorkshire then. 8 & 5 years ago, i got Piriformis syndrome, ( nigh on same as sciatica ). 1st time i went to a local chiropractor which after 10 x 12 min sessions & cost a fortune, didn't do much good. Last time i went to a local Acupuncturist which after 4 sessions sorted it.
So if my daily exercises & painkillers don't sort it, i'll be back there when returning from North Yorkshire.

17 long months after putting partner's late Mum's home on the market, at last we can see the winning post.
She had lived in the house since 1951, & we thought it would be an easy sale!. How wrong were we?. After a buyer was found ( within 2 months ), their Surveyors report suggested mega foundation problems ( est repair costs £12k! ), which were totally unfounded after we'd got both Essex & Suffolk Water & Anglian Water round to put cameras along the pipe network etc. That took 3 months before being sorted.
Then Land Registry made an error, & we had to apply for a 'Du Bonis Non' ( don't ask ), which took 7 months to get, due to their backlog, & that was with our Solicitor regularly chasing them for progress. This Jan that was granted so hey ho, but not quite. Buyer's Solicitor found a problem from the 1955 conveyance report ( ?? ), so back to Land Registry for them to sort out.
We got a call today from Solicitor confirming all is ok & sorted, as Land Registry investigated & conformed the problem was down to a clerical error FFS!. Contracts due to be exchanged within the next week or so, then we can relax!.
Solicitor's costs so far ( £1750 for 'Du Bonis Non', impossible to sort out yourself ), Gas & Electric daily standing charges & usage, & having to pay Council tax on an empty house, total around £4,500 plus still have Solicitors fee for sorting out the Sale. Some may think that's small change from the proceeds of the sale, but if everyone did their job correctly in the first place, most of those cost's wouldn't have been incurred.

Picking up a step ladder from my dad's garage I noticed an old looking gas meter.

Asked my dad about it when I dropped off the ladders and turned out it used to belong to my uncle who passed away a few years ago. Apparently each April he would switch his gas meter with this spare that he had and would use that one during the summer to heat his outdoor swimming pool. When September came around he'd then switch the meter back and then wouldn't be charged for the gas he'd used.

The team that I am assistant coach to won 5-0 yesterday to clinch the title in our first season in men's football (and our third on the trot). Such a mature performance from a great bunch of lads.
On the final whistle I dashed off to the marathon for a couple of hours (still makes me emotional) then back to the bar that sponsor our team for one helluva party.
Tad delicate today.
