Question What is making you happy today?

Heard on the news that chickenpox was related to Shingles .That I kever knew.Had CP as a kid ,Shingles in my 20`s which IIRC was rather painful
I got shingles a week before my 1st London Marathon in 87, & jeez it was painful. I had it around my right shoulder area, & for several years after, always got shudders in that area during the winter months, as it attacks the nerve ends supposedly.
Incidently the nurse told me that it's more painful ( & possibly more serious ) if you catch it when of a 'mature age' as we are!.

That being the case, makes it strange that vaccination isn't available until 70.

I believe you have read that too literally and that the website is poorly written.
In my reading of it, it would be anyone between 65 and 80, or with health conditions which make immunisation a priority.
Asked my surgery about this, they said the adverts were totally misleading and causing a lot of confusion but since I was 65 before Sept I would have to wait until I was 70. Somewhat bizarre!

Newly refurbished Jet in Rochford (E10) at 143.7p and BP Toomeys at 143.9p 😀
Just filled up at Pitsea Tesco for 145.9. Didn't think that was too bad. Seems like it should be in the lowish 140s. Would prefer it to be back in the 120s but doubt that will happen anytime soon.

I found out that as i'm on Shell energy i'll be moving across to Octopus at some point. As a way of getting extra cash i'm getting referred so the person referring me to Octopus gets £50 and I get £50 as well.
