Question What is making you happy today?

As a long time panto lover I'm really looking forward to the Cliffs offering this year. Joe Pasquale and Rob Rinder are leading the cast of Peter Pan. Joe is one of my all time favourite comedians. Tickets booked and ready.

I worked with his sister in Thurrock years ago. Lovely woman. I asked her if he really talked like that. She said don't be silly *******. That was me told.

Watched my nephew's team Grays come from 2 down to win 3-2 against Chelmsford tonight and win the league with 2 games yet to play.

Saw the King & I at the Cliffs Pavilion last night. Fabulous production and costumes to a packed house.
Mum saw that too. Think Wednesday. Main actress had on stage accident so it was halted and under study took their place. But same comments. Great show. Not sure how many of the audience were singing along

Making me Happy:

Received an email confirmation from Ticketmaster that i've been successful for tickets to the Coronation Concert at 12:05. Noticed the email 10 minutes ago and informed my wife who wasn't sure on attending as she has a thing about crowds so I was just googling events that she has been to to allow comparison of people (O2 capacity 20,000 Vs Coronation concert of 10,000)

Hacking me off:

However, at 14:34 I received an email to state that I was selected as part of a supplementary first come first served round and that tickets were very popular and all tickets have now been snapped up.

Exactly the same! I joined the queue 10 mins after the email came and I was already too late.

I don't feel so bad that I didn't see the original email for 2 hours now. Whats the point in entering a ballot if they are going to send out an email to everyone (or an over-subscribed selection) informing them that they have been successful but they have to be quick as its first come first served.

Ticketmaster at its best. Didn't have this issue with the Olympic tickets. You entered and then if you was lucky you got a ticket. No hurry up, we have offered your ticket to someone else.

Our upright freezer. It's frost free and has been making an awful rattling noise for the last couple of weeks. We almost bought a new one as I assumed that the fan had gone (it is 15 years old after all), but before I did I thought I'd get a guy to come and try to fix it.

He came this morning and suggested we turn the temperature up from -20 to -18 and then (when we've got time) defrost it - yes I know it's supposed to be frost free - because the temp was too high and there has been a build up of ice that is catching on the fan.

He charged £80 and has probably saved us around £500 or more for a new one.

Got my son to predict the results for the Championship League and League 1 on two £1 accumacator bets. Cashed out one on £42 and the other on £10. That'll do for me. Cheeky git wants half but I've managed to beat him down to £20. Shouldn't really beat your kids though 😁
