Question What is making you happy today?

She is simply stunning, bet you are really pleased to finally track her down and learn she is enjoying her well earned retirement.
I’d really like to go out and see her. Im over the moon she is with someone who will give her a great home in her final years. She turns 9 on Friday.

Finally decided to upgrade my phone from my HTC One which I got way back in 2014 (7 years with one smartphone is some going)

Went with the Samsung S22. Got £200 off for trading in a working android phone as well as free Galaxy buds and Disney+ for a year. Only snag is its "due" to be delivered on the 25th April 2022.

I presume they are saving money now by delivering items by pigeon.

Enjoy your phone when it finally arrives. One of the huge pluses of a 5G phone is the quality of the camera capability. I went for the lower range Samsung A32 but the camera is so good that I was able to jettison my compact cameras and my DSLR.

Out of interest, how does 5g affect camera quality?

Yep, thats one of the things i'm looking forward to. The first photo i ever took on my phone was of a butterfly at Hylands House.

It looked amazing back then, but when compared to some of the pictures i've seen on the S21 it makes it look like a kid has drawn it with crayons.

Its amazing just how good the cameras are in these smartphones. Its basically a camera, and internet access with the ability for calls and texts and as a little add on.

If I understand it correctly, a 5G Smart Phone doesn't affect the camera directly but certainly Samsung, and iPhone for that matter, have included a Quad camera as standard in their 5G phones. A quad-cam setup simply means a four camera (with four lenses) setup on the rear of a mobile phone. A quad-cam setup comprises a primary camera lens, telephoto lens, ultra wide angle lens and a depth sensor. Each of these are designed to provide enhanced photographic capabilities. That just about exhausts my understanding, but I'm sure there are other Zoners on here that can tell you more if needed, or correct my understanding if it's a bit bobbins!!

I’d have gone with just modern phones have better cameras.

Yearly car service today, been going to the same place in Southend for about 17 years. They always let me have their van free of charge whilst my cars there. Plus as they know me very well, ok for me to pay cash to save vat.
Total cost was £199.60p!, happy with that, & also saved £40 on vat which is a nice bonus.
One of those rare instances these days, where 'cash still rules'!.
