Question What is making you happy today?

Went to see the Chelmsford Chieftains play Slough Jets.

A 5-2 win and superb seats with excellent view. Just a shame that Slough get such small crowds, no more than 300 last night.

Spent a few hours in Windsor before the game. It is really **** - can't see why the Queen lives there.

I think it’s because it’s close to Legoland. I’m told she loves it there.

Mrs RHB. We've been working in the loft today insulating the roof rafters and she has unintentionally had me in stitches. Every time I've asked her to pass my something when I'm stuck in one place something other than what I've asked for has turned up. For pliers I get pincers, for a drill bit I get a screw driver bit. Best one was a jigsaw instead of a impact driver. She is now affectionately known as Baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

I know a joke about that!

Just received an email from Havens Hospice telling us this news for tax year 21/22. A pleasant surprise and way better than off loading at the recycling centres.

'I am pleased to tell you that proceeds from selling your goods have raised £812.54 (net of commission and VAT) which will allow the charity to reclaim Gift Aid of £203.14 in the tax year to 2021-22.'

Notified by Premium Bond's that i've won £25, my first win since getting a load 2 1/2 years ago!.
'Other half' also purchased same amount of me at that time, & to date has won £250 in £25 & £50 wins!.

Getting my Grandchildren their Easter Eggs. Can’t wait to see the looks on their faces when they get handed over next week.

Why does it make me happy? Simply this: £5 an egg is a bloody darn sight cheaper than what gets spent on birthdays or Christmas!
