Question What is making you happy today?

The firm I am contracting for has SSO issues and I am unable to log on to work.

I will still be invoicing for today and may spend the afternoon in the sun.

Finally picked up my ¡ Viva La Kevolución ! T-shirt at the local post office today!

Not so great that I had to pay 8.50 Euros for the privilige (when postage was paid in the UK).Friendly warning if you're posting a package to friends/relatives in an EU country don't use Royal Mail (use a courier service instead).

Im not a beliver a believer in this sort of thing but……
My dad passed away 22 years ago. He held small amounts of shares in a number of companies that I dealt with two decades ago.

We moved house three weeks ago and as everyone knows the move and subsequent work needed at the new house costs a fortune.

The very first letter we received (redirected post) at the new house was from a firm stating that they had been contacted by iberdrola ( Spanish bank) to find me as I had £300 in unnclaimed dividends and £700 in shares.

They could have contacted me any time in the last 22 years but it was the first piece of mail at the new house.

My dad is still looking out for me.

We now have a 16th century property and Will use it to lighten the beams inmy office so I have a permanent reminder of my dad every day I work there and look at the beams.

How weird is that

Surely a Spanish breakfast is funny tasting chipolatas, thinly sliced bacon with bits of bone in, non brand baked beans and chips served in a bar with a sign outside saying "We show Eastenders"?
Ah yes happy memories of Benidorm `84

That is good times @OldBlueLady, my wedding suit, a top Ted Baker has stayed in the wardrobe for a few years.
But unfortunately the funeral suit is being worn too often, an uncle of Mrs G today in Epping. I am pleased to say it still fits and has a few years left in it, came from Principles back in the day, black so un-dating.

Finally located my old working dog who I spent 6 months in the Falklands with, she was the dog I’d love to have kept. Unfortunately she didn’t get on with other bitches. She’s been rehomed by an ex Army guy and is now living it up in North Carolina. Seeing the post on Facebook put a massive smile on my face.

A bacon and cheese puff followed by a Krispy Kreme doughnut. Comfort food supreme but absolutely no use to type 2 diabetes. Sometimes it just has to be done.

CODA - I've been banging on about this film for ages, they picked BAFTAs for best adapted screenplay and Troy Kotsur as best supporting actor, and now two Oscars. For Best film and best supporting male actor for Troy Kotsur again. Very much deserved.
