Question What is making you happy today?

Congratulations Massimo, you must be very proud of her!

Very much so; she did 4 years in the RAF as a medic and only left as she couldn't progress there BUT it was a big decision to be an unemployed, skint student and have to mix/mingle with 18 year olds etc.
She starts at Newham A&E very soon; they interviewed and offered her job there while she was on placement so they must have been impressed too.

My niece is one of the senior midwives there. May bump into each other.

The Trust committee had a very enjoyable evening at the Crouch Vale Brewery last night, tour of the premises and ample opportunity to sample the ale, nice little tap room open to the public - highly recommended. Also day off today in preparation for family wedding tomorrow so a nice weekend ahead.

At the airport. Back for 2 weeks with first week in Canary Wharf office so for the first time I'm trying a flight to Zurich and connection to London City. Have sunk several beers already and 30 mins from topping that up with copious amounts of Vodka and Tonic in the lounge. Sadly unless I get an upgrade it's economy all the way though I am front row with legroom. Planning to be asleep before we take off. I've eaten half a cow today.

For those who haven't seen ORM's passport photo

I cleaned my garage out at the weekend and it is like a palace.

I can now do bike maintenance inside rather than on the driveway.

Wonderful weekend celebrating Kev's nephew's wedding, lovely day at The Rochford Hotel on Saturday and then spent yesterday together just chilling and watching them open their presents. Might have had a few drinks too! :winking:

We went to the Star Wars Identities exhibition at the O2 yesterday. Me, my wife and the boys absolutely loved it. It was 10 times better than we expected. We thought we'd be in and out in about half an hour, but we were there for 2 hours.

If you like Star Wars I would really recommend it.

It's great isn't it?

Yes. Surprisingly so. It's also very educational.

It also goes some way to explaining Lucas' thinking behind the 1st three films, which was a bit of an eye opener. It is also amazing just how much detail goes into creating a character.

Friday night, eldest daughter's prom.
Saturday - day at the para-athletics at Olympic Stadium - we had great seats, right in front of the sand pit, so we saw Stef Reid win long jump in front of us. My youngest got a selfie with her. Then on to the Village, where we saw the medal ceremonies, and got to see Hannah Cockcroft be awarded her gold. Got to sing the National Anthem...

Nice chap who gave the fam a lift from Irchester heritage railway centre back to the carpark when the heavens opened. We would have got drenched if not for him.

Bumped in to the Essex Police drone unit in Benfleet and they showed the kids all of the drones they had in their truck.
