I hope your hubby told them to find someone else next time, I’d say that tip should have been at least £40 imo, he waited over 4 hours for Christ sake, some people eh?
Sadly, however much he'd like to have, you just can't do that because people take to social media and bleat on about poor service and how hard done by they've been - rarely do so when they've had great service, of course.

They've been blackmarked for the future though!

I really lost the will to live today with the blooming systems we have to use at work.
We are now into Covid and Flu vaccination time and I have several hundred to do but trying to log onto the account to registered them is a work of art that was probably designed by someone who has to justify their over inflated salary. It was like pulling teeth out with tweezers.
I managed to get through the three security checks when now they have decided you have to load an app to your phone and get a code number each time you log on

One of our neighbours has two Labrador dogs which they seldom take for a walk, ergo their back garden is a dumping ground for the dogs, which seldom gets cleaned. When it rains the aroma it pretty toxic and this morning was one of those mornings.

Lydia Hyde is the councillor overseeing tree issues, she talks the talk but as yet I have not heard anything that suggests she does more than having her photo taken when a sapling is planted.
Please let me know if you have any success.
I met Lydia Hyde at the Council 'surgery' on Saturday at Kent Elms Library, & spent 35 mins showing her the pics i'd taken of the tree & subsidence at my sons home.
She took many notes, & said she'd email the guy who arrange's tree removal's, because she was unaware of the situation & said she'd email me on Monday.
As yet i've still to hear from her, despite me giving her a 'nudge' last night by emailing her!. I'm going to try phoning her now, but wont hold my breath!. Councils eh?.

Southend Council, what an incompetent useless mess?. 2 years ago my youngest son experienced subsidence both internal & external at his home. Insurance Co, Loss Adjusters & Council all notified. 18 months of monitoring the movement, to determine whether it was the large tree outside or the drains causing it. All arrows pointed to the tree, meanwhile the cracks got bigger, doors wouldn't close, & you could stick a biro pen in them, both external & internal.
Weekly calls to the Loss Adjusters, who repeated the same message 'we've emailed the council & are awaiting their reply'.
2 months ago we were told the Council had confirmed the tree was to blame, & had given the instruction to their 'tree felling dept' to remove it. Has anything since happened, no chance. Try getting the email address to the councils insurance dept, not listed!. Try calling the tree felling dept, you get a p.o address to write to FFS!.
Yet if you don't pay your council tax etc, they will be onto you like a ton of bricks?. And these people are elected to look after us??. A Sloth with broken arms would move quicker than they do.

My neighbour has a 20m tree next to my house that they refuse to maintain. Some of the branches encroach 8m over my garden.
