The dog decided to roll through something a cow left behind.

Hopefully the 10 mins under a cold hose at Benfleet Yacht Club will make him think twice about doing it again.
I was about to give your post a laughter emoji, then thought about the Zouma boys and decided against it.

I'm sorry to hear this - what was their reason? It's something that's really galling at the moment, so many people pulling out of house sales or purchases regardless of loss of money by other parties. System needs an overhaul.
Thank you, to be fair, i'm not blaming the former buyers in any way. We put our place up on the market in Jan, "sold" it within a week, was not expecting this, the we thought crikey we need to find a place now! Unfortunately there just wasn't anything within our price range for a while, we kept them up to date with viewings we had but lost out to cash buyers about 4-5 times. Not much else we could do.

So this was from Jan to about April, so completely understand why they pulled out after waiting so long, if i'm honest I respect them for hanging on so long! The whole thing is just a pain really.

The annoying thing is as well, about a week later we had an offer accepted on a place that we really like. The buyer knows our position and hopefully it won't take too long to sell it again. We are in South Woodham Ferrers and there are not too many "affordable" houses in the area, so hopefully we can sell quickly again.

Moving is just the worst thing!

My Doctor's surgery. You are not allowed to walk into the surgery now to make an appointment. All patients have to ring up instead. So I started ringing at 08.00 and finally got through at 08.50. It looks like I have water retention probs in my legs so they will need to be seen to confirm. The receptionist still wanted to get a Doctor to triage me instead until I pointed it that the doc would have to physically see to confirm. At the end of that she told me their system was down and they would ring me back with an appointment.

I suspect many people are realising they can't afford a bigger house.

Year 6 SATS. What a load of ****e.
To a certain extent, but the results are sent on to the pupils' secondary schools to help that school prepare.

When my kids did them I made a point of telling them that up until now the school has done their best for them and it was time for them to do their best for the school.

On the subject of house purchases falling through...

A mate of mine found a house out in the sticks in Cambridge and loved it.

He was about to make an offer but decided to do a drive by to take another look.

When he arrived there was an Apache gunship hovering about 100ft above the back garden.

When he enquired about this in the local village he was told that location was often used as a way point on exercises...

Had something similar for the other half, only it was an ear infection. Reception said they'd get a doc to do a 'phone appointment to which the other half said "have you developed some kind of special video phone as he/she'll actually have to see me for this problem (perish the thought....) ?" Came back offering a two week appointment (!) or suggestion of going to A&E (like they haven't got enough on their hands....) - ended up going private and got it sorted the following day. Bl@@dy disgraceful.

Hate having to avoid walking through a massive cloud smelling of strawberries & cream or Cookies. Very anti smoker etc. anyway. Filthy habit.
If I want to smell of strawberries I'll buy some and stick my head in the punnet! Girlie smell. I want hot axle grease, burning jet fuel or tank exhaust fumes. MAN smells!

That would want me to buy it even more!

And just like that, our house is sold again! now the stress and pain really begins!

Extremely bright exterior house lights. Don’t know if it’s just them or a combo with the new street lights but my road is much brighter at night now and that’s not ideal for sleeping.
