Good luck with that.
I've been retired12 years now, so probably times change, but if I had been Prog managing a big w/end change in, that's what I have had to budget for staffers back then and the daily rate for externals would have had premiums built in to their daily rate.

Double time minimum call out for Sunday working + petrol (price per mile) or is it all in your contract price?
My day rate makes no distinction. I worked last weekend and Bank Holiday too.

It's worked out well though as I've agreed with the project manager that I'm not needed and it would be better for me to rest this weekend ahead of a manic week where I'll really be needed all hours.

I might re-read my contract, but I'm pretty sure there's no difference.

Our buyers of our property have pulled out. We are waiting to see whether the offer we put on a house has been accepted too. Annoyed if it has in a way as they may change their mind as our buyers have pulled out. I hate moving house.

I'm sorry to hear this - what was their reason? It's something that's really galling at the moment, so many people pulling out of house sales or purchases regardless of loss of money by other parties. System needs an overhaul.

Why are people pulling out of the sales you're involved in? People jittery with interest rate rises?

No, this has been for the last 6 months - all sorts of reasons. It's the same for most agents. People change their minds, people lose their buyers elsewhere in the chain, people lose what they're buying further up chains, someone in the chain dies, dads come round and knock on walls and put their son or daughter off saying it'll need loads of work!

Ah ok - seems odd, not sure what's changed in the last 6 months to prompt those reasons!

The dog decided to roll through something a cow left behind.

Hopefully the 10 mins under a cold hose at Benfleet Yacht Club will make him think twice about doing it again.
