Bloomin' right! I do a bit of stage lighting for bands. The stands for the lights go to about 7'. Do the plugs reach the floor? Therefore I have to use tables/chairs for the extension boards. Oh and the mains lead on my washer doesn't reach a wall socket...

Bought a three piece suite from Harveys in September. They rang last week and said they were going to deliver tomorrow (21/12). Set up the Sue Ryder Charity to come and collect our old one tomorrow morning (not easy to do, central call centre, 48 hrs notice etc). Got an email yesterday from Harveys yesterday to say they would deliver between 7am to 1 pm. So far so good. Got a phone call at 4pm today saying our suite had been delivered to the wrong warehouse and wouldn't now be arriving tomorrow. She is now having a serious melt down about Harveys and I'm on the receiving end of the ache being the only one within earshot. FFS!!!

Wasted 55 mins of my life today, shopping in Morrison's at Hadleigh. Usually takes us about 20 mins, but with everyone apparently stocking up before a pre Brexit famine, that went totally out of the window!.
Will probably be worse tomorrow, good luck to those going for the weekly shopping trip!.

Was in there Thursday afternoon, shop wasn't too bad but coincided with schools finishing so lots of parents with kids straight from school, or teenagers wandering about in groups. The car park was hideous though - always felt the entrance should be in New Road, with access from both directions - and then exit onto the A13 with the benefit of the traffic lights.

Someone on another site was saying they remember seeing Queen there right back in the very early days just about the time Seven Seas of Rye was released.

As Southend Leos formed, it was our first official meeting place in the mid 80s and we held many a disco there. Very sad.
