There's been a shuffle round in the office since I was away last week, and now there's a gaggle of women sat near me who talk utter bilge for pretty much the whole day, whilst shrieking like they're watching the Chipendales do a "sausage reveal".

One conversation went around how one woman liked the temperature of a glass of water and wouldn't drink it if it was too warm or too cold.

The prick cycling down Camden High Street the wrong way, with earphones in and hands nowhere near his handlebars.

Which, I suppose, was a slight improvement to three minutes earlier when he was cycling super fast along the pavement, weaving in and out of pedestrians.

Cricky MK, you're a married man. Just do the 'married man not listening' dance. If you do it regularly at home, like the rest of us, then doing it at work should be easy.

Provided they stop at BA level then you should just make it. It gets a bit trickier when an MA and then Doctorate follows. Then there are gap years, deferrals etc. The list of extended parental financial pain just goes on and on. You will be eligible for a bus pass at 60 though.

No you won`t get a bus pass at 60 - I got mine at 61 and Mrs Grumpy who was born the same year as me got hers when she was 63 - it`s all linked with with quarters of the year and graduated pension dates etc

LB lives in London I'm guessing, so he would qualify at 60. I agree that the rest of the UK get it later.

Getting a contract from a supplier with a clause pertaining to US law - I'm not a legal expert but erm, we're in the UK!

My mum's 79th birthday today, which in itself is great. She's still doing voluntary driving for Castle Point Voluntary Services and very active. She shared a birthday with her mother, who died in 1976.

Now, I always like to try and visit my nan's grave on the anniversary of her birthday and take some lilies, which were her favourite flower, and, coincidentally, her name. My paternal grandparents are also buried in the same church yard, so I got flowers for both graves.

I've always loved visiting the church yard, they always fascinate me and I always feel very at peace when I visit. What has made me very annoyed is the state of some of the graves. It's clear that families die out or descendants just lose interest in the graves of their ancestors. So why oh why, is there not some national scheme for the upkeep of grave yards? Some of them were totally over-grown, some even had trees growing through them. Many of the cross type gravestones had snapped off, obviously a weakness at the base of this design. Also, the long grass had clearly been cut recently and all the grass cuttings just left strewn all over the paths and the graves - really poor.

There was a couple tending the grave right across the path from my nan's, a poor little 3 year old boy who had died suddenly some 30 years ago. It was heart breaking talking to them, watching as they removed every last stray bit of mown grass from their son's grave.

What made the whole thing even worse was that some bloke with a large Alsation dog thought a grave yard was the perfect place to come and walk his dog, throwing a ball around for it to chase!

It all made me very sad and very angry. The Church of England is not poor, there should be a scheme to maintain church yards. Or maybe some kind of community service could take care of it?

I also have a noisy bunch of 30 & 40 something ladies who sit near me, they are all on slimfast shakes at the moment to see who loses the most weight.

But it looks to me like they also eat the same rubbish they used to in addition to the slimfast & have spent the past 3 hours b!tching that they havent lost anything, bloody idiots.

It does amaze me that people (women) seem to think that they can put the least amount of work in and they'll get fit. I see it in the gym, people (women) chatting on the treadmills or cross trainers, walking slower than they do when they're outside.

Ha ha, brilliant, Mike Ashley would be proud of that post, straight out of the 1970's.
Its true though, some people (women) couldn't close their mouths if their lives (or weight) depended on it.
