Losing the non credit card wallet with English Heritage, National Trust and RHS and Old gits Rail membership cards in it. Go back to Leigh Timber where I may have dropped it, nothing. Drive to Leigh Nick to report loss, now permanently closed. Drive to Westcliff Nick, same result. Drive to Southend Nick, they don't take details any more if the items lost are named, just your name and address. Drive home, ring all four orgs cancel cards and arrange for new ones to be issued. Ten minutes later get an email from English Heritage saying a doctors Surgery in Leigh had rung them and they have all my cards. Sods Law or what?

Facebook has just reminded me that five years ago today I was at Lord's with canveyshrimper. :'(

Less 'hacked off' I guess, more wistful. Top, top, top, top man was Harry.

And me using a classic Harry Redknapp trope there would have really wound him up

I hate people who blow air through their pursed lips making a tuneless din pretending they can whistle.

Its normally old men who do it, i am in the Doctors waiting room & there is an old fart next to me who has been 'whistling' like that for 20 minutes.

You're not Roger Whittaker mate, so SHUT UP

Rufus, our ginger moggy, aka the ginger peril and El gitto looks like he has come to the end of the road. He has liver problems and is now not eating or drinking. Gutted about this, he has been with us for 16 odd years and been a real character from day one. I'm going to miss him.

Bloody people I'm buying the house from can't find anywhere to rent because they've got a great big ****ing wolf as a pet.

Not to mention they're going on holiday for a month at the end of June.

I assume your completion date has gone out the window, supposed to be today wasn't it?

I have a similar issue, was going to complete today, then it was changed to 17th June due to solicitors on our purchase dragging their feet, all the while our buyer is pressurising us to move out.

Now had an email from our solicitor saying our buyers are b*ggering off to Australia for 3 weeks on Sunday & dont want to exchange until they return.

They are in a rented flat & makes no difference to them if we did exchange/complete whilst they are away, just being bloody awkward i think.

Originally next Friday, then moved to the 24th...however a chink of light that they've now found somewhere that'll take them, but not available until the 5th July, so we're getting there (hopefully)!

It is bloody stressful. I don't think solicitors help much.

I paid £70 for a courier to get the signed contracts over the other day do we could complete by the 17th....waste of money!
