****ing Sky! Moved house and sorted a new deal to get fibre broadband etc. It's been a week I've had to wait till it's set up, set up day comes and it doesn't work, BT engineer comes out and tells me my phone and broadband are still at my old house and it will take 2 weeks to get this sorted.

Now on the phone on hold to Sky the longer this take the more ****ed off I'm getting! I'm having to use my mobile data which I took off of unlimited because I use my wifi all the time I thought I didn't need it and would save some money.

I had exactly the same problem with my BT internet when moving 6 years ago. The idiots at BT stopped service to my old address then connected it my address previous to that! Took them 4 attempts & 3 weeks to sort it, all the while I was using my mobile data to work from home.

BT said I was entitled to a pound a day compensation... I ended up making a complaint to the chairman & they agreed to pay my £165 mobile bill & £95 compo.

Good luck, hope you get it sorted soon

Thanks we are still a way off yet. Phoned them and the first woman tried blaming me saying the account said the new address but broadband said another, had to have a go about that. Now I've been told the phone line won't be set up until the 16th of May and then the broadband could be active latest next Friday! I expressed my annoyance at this and how I could be without broadband for 3 weeks! I got a £20 tesco voucher to spend on a dongle and they are making sure I don't get charged for my time without internet usage. I tried blogging a couple of months free movies and sport but apparently they can't add that on with the offer I already have. The woman is ringing back tomorrow with an exact date of my broadband when it will be active and I think I will ask to speak to a manager and see if I can raise my complaint further.

Try going on Google to find out the chairman's email address, details etc and raise your complaint directly, that's what I did.
He ended passing it to a senior person who dealt with it.
I hate mucking around with junior management busybodies as it prolongs things & normally gets me nowhere.

Had to go back to the Matrix for a field and vison eye test on which the outcome decides if i keep my liecence or not,so booked in i turn up and smash the first one only missing six lights but i have three goes at it so i start my secound test and half way through two people start talking out side the open door so i miss eight on the secound test and get the right hump throwing around a few f,s and jeff,s which would have made roots hall bloke blush.

Sat week me & the missus were going to meet up with a load of old mates that I've known for coming up on 30 years - down to Essex for a meal, a lot of drinking, reminiscing and having a laugh with folks I don't see often enough.

A family member has a young son, similar age to my daughter and months ago arranged a baby-sitting/sleep over deal for my daughter. Ring her earlier in the week and she now can't do it.:angry::angry:

My wife won't trust anyone who's not family, and the rest of them are already busy, or in the case of my mum, too old.

Ok, the person in question works shifts in a hospital, but **** me, you've had months to change shifts. Why leave it until the last minute.:angry::angry:

For the past 9 weeks we have been in the process of moving house & the young couple buying ours decided to opt for only a valuation instead of a homebuyers survey, their mortgage company were fine with this.
We are now a week or so away from exchange of contracts & out estate agent called earlier to tell me that the couple now want a homebuyers survey carried out on our house with the understanding that they will decrease their offer if anything untoward is found.

To say I am totally cheesed off is an understatement, the people we are buying from aren't exactly over the moon either.

Do you have to agree? Do you really think they'll be pulling out if you don't?

Finding the house you want is pretty tough going and yours might well have increased in value while you've been in the process.

Otherwise be sure to leave a fresh fish behind a radiator with the heating on the day you move out. ;-)

I had a full building survey & an EIRC electrical check on the property I'm buying. To be honest, I don't blame them - it's the biggest thing you'll ever buy, yet people don't do suitable checks. The valuation barely scratches the surface and the homebuyers is only slightly better.

One of my Ebay buyers claiming that they've not received their purchase - fortunately I'm no idiot and I have a receipt of postage. Look at his Ebay feedback and he's got a history of this. He can FRO if he thinks he's getting a refund.

I had the same problem.

Turns out I had sent the item to the wrong address because someone previously won the item then backed out.

My fault but annoying nonetheless.
