This:

http://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/14026746.HMRC_plan_to_close_170_offices_across_the_country/

By 2020 there will be no HMRC employees or offices in Southend. Leaving aside any re-locations of staff to Stratford, that's 1200 jobs in Southend down the plug hole.

The link above was from yesterday. Today's Echo leads with it as the front page Headline which is where the 1200 figure comes from.

This follows closure of Shoebury Barracks, huge cuts at MoD Foulness, loss to Coastguard etc. Our local MPs have done F all to preserve jobs in the area.

My gearbox is on the way out. I have another being recon but it won't be ready till some next week at the earliest, so I have to carry on with the old one praying it won't break down when I have a customer onboard. Also at over a grand to repair I don't really need this problem this time of the year.

Would the total morons who don't know or don't care that we are now 9 days past Guy Fawkes night please do one. The RHB cat is almost in need of a cat therapist to recover his shredded nerves.

The man holding up the queue through the DLR ticket gates at Limehouse because he was too busy looking at his iPad.

As if that's not bad enough it turned out that he was watching Strictly Come Dancing.

I don't mind occasionally having to walk into work when the trains are screwed up - its not that far. What I do object to is the ****ing display signs telling me a train is both running and cancelled like some bizarre Schrodinger experiment, and when I mention this to the station staff, them getting all shirty.

Sitting at the head of a queue of cars at temporary traffic lights. In first gear, clutch depressed ready to go........green light, off clutch, realising that first gear was in fact third gear.....getting nowhere fast and hateful stares from the army of drivers behind me.

F***ing morons making comments about the paris attacks without any knowledge of the attacks what so ever just pure Racism and ignorance

The more I look at the new C2C timetable the worse it looks for those going to Benfleet and beyond at peak times, haven't looked at other times. Make the ****ers who go from West Ham to Barking get the underground. Or only serve one, not both stations on each train.

The underground mob really annoy me.

The weather reporter on the Beeb news this morning saying something along the lines of "Barney is the 2nd storm this season..." - since when have we had a season for storms, much less name them?!!! "The Great Storm of..." is as far as it goes normally isn't it?

Isn't it just one of the four seasons? Is it Autumn or winter yet?
