Is it really so strange to ask him/her if these things take time? If your dentist says that you're going to have to stretch out and wait for longer than you'd like, then don't panic - just tell him/her that you just haven't earned it yet, baby and that as far as you're concerned, big mouth strikes again. If your dentist then says, "sorry you're going nowhere fast", then you're within your rights to tell him/her that I don't owe you anything and you can then oscillate wildly off to the gig.
 
The truly awful selfishness and short sightedness of some people. If a parent has come to stay with their adult son who is currently bed-ridden and at home on his own after a 3rd back operation, then said parent should not be expected to go and babysit tonight and over the weekend at daughter's house 20 miles away instead of being with bed-ridden son. Mind you said parent should also tell daughter to stick to whatever plans she would have had to make had they not been here! Unbelievable!!! :angry:

Are you actually a Nan now? Congratulations!

Sorry to hear your son isn't very well (you are talking about yourself yeah?). However I'm sure you appreciate that bringing up a child is hard work as well and babysitting is sometimes needed.

Err, no I wasn't talking about myself actually, although I am a step-nan as it goes! No, this is my ex I'm talking about. He had a 3rd operation on his back about 8 weeks ago and recovery isn't going as it should. Our daughter has been running round like a blue arsed fly for weeks taking him to appointments and helping him whenever possible, but she's got ME and found it too much, she's been stressing really badly. She phoned his sister who is supposed to be helping, but she couldn't get hold of her for 3 days so phoned her nan. Nan agreed to come down and look after him for a bit but, last weekend just before she arrived, he fell, had to crawl to a phone to call for help. Our daughter had to call an ambulance and sat up A&E for 8 hours with him. She then had to collect him from hospital Tuesday, but he couldn't get in the car so they had to wait for an ambulance. His mum eventually came down on Tuesday from where she'd been staying at his sister's, but the sister has arranged for their mum to babysit for her tonight and at the weekend! Even I've offered to help but he won't accept it, but his own sister is taking advantage of their mum being around and booking her to babysit at her house! I can't believe it at all, it's just so selfish.

He may have been an absolute ******* to me, but no-one deserves treatment like that from his own flesh and blood. Wish his mum had the guts to tell the daughter to do one, but she won't.

You are old and im sure you have sucked many a egg but if i were you which of course im not(the boobs would be nice to play with) then i would keep my daughter well away from the politics of it all,it sounds like a lot of point scoring.
How can your ex ring up your daughter and not an anbulance.
They know what you are like and are just pressing your buttons to stress you out,which of course is very easy to do.

No no it does not help to decipher your cryptic posts,the were and how of your dentist had no bearing on your strange post what so ever,it was the grammar or as you have now put it your typo,worried won,t.

I accidentally touched some expanding foam I was using yesterday to plug a gap and I can't get the ferking stuff off. It's like I've got leprosy. :unsure:

Big gap in spare bedroom skirting boards - Mrs MK was convinced she'd found mouse poop, though I could see no mouse fridge to remove.
 
Staying in for an AM delivery of a roofing sheet only to be told at 11:55, 'it's cracked so we have had to order a new one'. Got to wait until Thursday now:angry:
