Notable former English Football League clubs that compete in the National League include: Forest Green Rovers, Oldham Athletic, Rochdale, Yeovil Town, Hartlepool United, Scunthorpe United and Sutton United. The longest tenured team currently competing in the National League is Eastleigh, who have been competing in the National League since 2014–15.
Try again , there are 4 seats together still available ( and better seats than I haveLiving in Ireland these days, I booked my flights soon after the Forest Green match, happy in the knowledge that I will be able to get a seat in an 90,000 seater stadium. I was planning to stay 2 nights in a hotel around Luton airport.
After this evening's announcement, which reads to me as the final statement on the matter, I went on the ticket website and by selecting coaches from different notional pickup locations, I was able to get 4 coach + match tickets into my basket - in different blocks. So much for a reunion with friends and family, who would be travelling from Folkestone, Wellingborough and South London.
I have decided not to do that. Not because the wasted £40 bothers me, but all this b0llocks this week has seriously drained my enthusiasm for attending in person, along with the nagging fear that there will be some clever mechanism for checking that you have indeed travelled by coach. So unless something else changes, I am going to cut my losses on the airfare and save the hotel bookings - and revert to viewing on DAZN (which has gone pretty well so far). I suspect my friends and family will make a similar call.
It's hard to believe that the euphoria of the past 2-3 weeks has resulted in this. Although it might be amusing to see a fleet of largely empty ghost coaches clogging up the M25.
Not the fault of either club, but what a ducking shambles.
Sod the m25 it’s the 406 and pants roads in and around Wembley that will struggle. Journey is going to be a nightmare.Questions about the coaches
1) How many have we actually got booked
2) Where are ours and Oldham coaches going to be parked
3) WTF is the M25 going to look like with all those coaches on it
4) Will it end up in a scenario where the game has started and they are still parking the coaches (same scenario as Robbie Williams at Knebworth)
5) It will probably be straight off straight on, no pub for some of the coaches
I just went on the ticket portal there are 4 tickets together from either Southend or Basildon.Living in Ireland these days, I booked my flights soon after the Forest Green match, happy in the knowledge that I will be able to get a seat in an 90,000 seater stadium. Had it confirmed by a Charlton fan that 440ml of your favourite alcohol beverages on offer at Wembley will be £6.90 of your finest British pounds. Was that for a can of Stella at Blur last summer.
That's what you call support....well done sir. Then **** it, I'm in. One layover in Iceland. Smashing.
I suspect the trains will be more hassle, especially post match. I don't think c2c or GA have even put on any additional trains. And it's not like unexpected issues with trains don't occur.I have to say that the nearer Sunday gets the more nervous I feel, and I'm not even thinking about the result of the match.
I secured one of the Matchday Ticket and Coach package deals on Monday morning. I've done this before, successfully boarding one of the 30+ coaches that travelled to Cardiff for the 2005 LDV Vans Trophy Final V Wrexham. No issues at all (apart from the result); into the Principality in goodtime and home again.
But this time, 20 years older, my anxiety is building and the excitement for what could well be an unforgettable day is being overshadowed by doubt...
Will the coach get to the match on time (I know we have 5 hours to get there - I never said I was being rational), given the excessive amount of extra traffic heading towards North London?
If the coach became grid-locked and I chose to get off it, could I find my way to Wembley?
After the match might I miss the coach cos I stay in the Stadium to long celebrating?
Will I find my coach after the match amongst the hundreds that will be parked up there?
What if I miss the coach, will I be able to get a train. Will I be able to purchase a ticket?
Etc., etc...
I'm seriously thinking of putting myself back in charge, biting the financial bullet, and going by train.
I thought I read somewhere C2C were at least putting out full length trains on Sunday. Can’t find it again though.I suspect the trains will be more hassle, especially post match. Wembley is used to hosting large numbers of coaches.
When you get off the coach at wembley take a picture on your phone of the coach and any signage nearby so you have something to help you find the zone it's parked in if you forget.
Jobe had a nice day out there at the weekend too. It wouldn’t surprise me if his Dad / the family was there. Would imagine Jude he has quite the schedule nowadays though !
Whatever you do on Sunday CC - please do not give the team talk!I have to say that the nearer Sunday gets the more nervous I feel, and I'm not even thinking about the result of the match.

You will 100% get your match ticket by email, as for the travel tickets, dunno. Are we 100% sure that the tickets being mailed out for the coach package will not just be travel tickets with match tickets handed out once on board? Surely that’s the only way the club can ensure they are abiding by the (‘kin stupid!!) requirements imposed on them.
One name I haven’t seen come up in all of this is the F.A. Anyone know if they are involved in discussions?
They are ultimately responsible for football and the NL is accountable to them. I can’t find a Facebook page for them. I don’t hold them responsible for the fiasco but we do need to ensure they understand the utter contempt we feel for NL.
