I happen to subscribe to Sky but I never seem to be able to get to watch the highlights on either Sky or ITV. All I want to do is watch highlights of the team I love. Where is the crime in that ?
I'm pretty sure there is/was just such on one of the offshore WWII platforms out in the Thames estuary

We've sent an appropriate reply and will keep everyone apprised of developments.

Offshore servers would make no difference I'm afraid.

Is this likely to hurt ? What implements will you be employing ?

I'm sure if Napster, Leeboy, MTS et al moved Shrimperzone to and managed Shrimperzone from (say) Afghanistan the Football league and FLPTV wouldn't be able to touch them.

The question is, do they want to do it?

My guess is that they won't which would be typical of the lack of commitment to this site since McScriven and Westcliff Shrimper reliquished control.......

This has an attractive ring to it (not the first time Napster will have said that to Leeboy either) - are we starting a fund ?

If people want to pay for me to relocate to Fiji and to fund my lavish lifestyle, I'd be delighted...

...especially since I'm not one of the site owners!

I'm a tad confused. If someone puts a link up to a video how is that Shrimperzone are being berated and not the individual? Shouldn't the individual be contacted direct and not SZ who are only using a public bulletin board for people to have a say in this FREE country that we support?

If an individual places a link to a site where there will be a link to the highlights then is that ok?

If I get my subbuteo players out and recreate the action with a bit of help from Macromedias Flash program am I in breach? after all I am copying an event that these vile pigs say belong to them.

What also is wrong is the fact that the person who offered links to the video was using there OWN web space not that of shrimperzone only the message board was where the link was posted thus I don't see how shrimperzone can be held up for this at all!

Scott / Artful... that's pretty much what we've said to the FL. I'm sure Naps & Lee will update us once they've had a response.

If that doesn't work tell them you are going to send some boys round to dish out a dry slap*

*I think that is the correct legal term, correct me if I am wrong.

It just shows that people who deal with these situations do not have a clue how the basic technical side of the WWW works but they like to throw their weight about as if they do.

How did the FA/FLPTV find out about this anyway.

Is there a shrimperzone mole?

quite strange you say that unregistered one,

Sufc-in-the-prem said something about putting the clips onto DVD to which I quipped that FLPTV/Sky would sue me into the middle of kingdom come if that happened and the next morning this has happened....

Going back to Artful shrimpers point - I think the BBC website have that virtual replay feature using shockwave/flash as a kop-out that they can't stream the footage.

The correct legal phrase requires the substitution of the word "the" in place of "some".

Further, in the case of Butcher v. Watts (2003, unreported), His Honour Judge Beale stated, obiter, that the term "administer" may be preferred to the phrase "dish out" in certain circumstances...
