Possibly this bloke

http://fr.soccerwiki.org//player.php?pid=47082

Sounds interesting. Think he has had Fulham and Newcastle sniffing around him in the past. Must like the seaside, although of course San Sebastian has nothing on Southend-on-Sea! :winking:

As I suggested on Twitter, with Big John and Mad Max in the side we're surely going to destroy anything in this division!........and I haven't even mentioned Dan Dare.

CP has just posted something which would suggest that this is the right bloke.

Yes a couple of interesting trialists
The CB would be an ideal addition- one of the stars of the conference and England C- him and another experience CB might be away- maybe Mad Max who is 29 afterall.

The Burundi cum French CF at 6'5" might be interesting as an understudy to BBBC

Certainly trialists with apparent logic

Ben Richard-Everton look quality tonight, I like the look of him. Good on the ball and have pace & skill, importantly, tall too.

Interesting thanks- well England C and one of the best defenders in the conference- and young. You would think if we want a couple of CB taking a punt on him as one of them would be good business

He would make an useful cover for the like of Prosser etc but with an potential to break into the first team and perform well. We need to test him Vs the like of Charlton, QPR & Ipswich etc

Don't know whether it has any relevance to our present crop of trialists but it is ramadan at the moment (finishes 28th July), thus it may not be the best time to assess the qualities of any muslim player.

Nanizayamo is only 21 ... with some prem and championship teams looking at him , i would say he was worth a punt ! , way better option than a loan striker . anyone get a chance to see how he played last night ?

Interesting things said about trialists , when Percival played his first trial ,people were saying how good he looked etc ,even some said sign him up , but as soon as we played some decent opposition all of a sudden he was like an 8 year or a duck out of water, myself i think its best to judge any trialists when we play some decent opposition,so i would be inclined to wait until after the Ipswich or charlton or QPR games to judge any of the present crop of trialists, i dont mean to be rude but i really dont believe Concord Rangers are off the best quality to judge any of the present crop.

I was thinking about this last night. As a youngster and before the academies were set up as they are now i had a trial with both Charlton and Palace. My trial was with around 40 other lads and you got maybe 30 mins to impress. Looking back now that really isnt long. Yet weve had a number of players on trial recently and most seem to get 30 or 45 mins, very few play a full 90 mins. Therefore they have limited time to impress, even if they play two or three times. To really judge these players properly even the likes of Fagan should they all be given 90 mins agaiusnt the likes of Charlton, Ipshite and QPR and then the current squad just make the numbers up or should we use these games against the better sides to gel the current squad for the new season?

As others have said he was poor last night and from a conversation overheard outside the ground after the game I'd be very surprised if we see him again.

There do seem to be quite a lot of trialists with good pedigree and PB has, allegedly, been impressed with a number of them. For him it must be rather like being a kid in front of the supermarket sweet counter, not knowing which to choose........wanting to take three or four and them casting an eye towards the checkout, where Uncle Ron is sitting at the till, looking at him reprovingly!

Ron: "no Phil ! , i told you in the car , you're aloud one player and that's it. So pick what one you want and put the rest back"

Phil : " I want all of them though "

Ron " Right ! that's it ! put them all back , you're not getting any !"

... Sounds about right ...
