Judging by the fact that all and sundry are now following Richards-Everton on Twitter, can it be assumed we've signed him?

I was thinking about this last night. As a youngster and before the academies were set up as they are now i had a trial with both Charlton and Palace. My trial was with around 40 other lads and you got maybe 30 mins to impress. Looking back now that really isnt long. Yet weve had a number of players on trial recently and most seem to get 30 or 45 mins, very few play a full 90 mins. Therefore they have limited time to impress, even if they play two or three times. To really judge these players properly even the likes of Fagan should they all be given 90 mins agaiusnt the likes of Charlton, Ipshite and QPR and then the current squad just make the numbers up or should we use these games against the better sides to gel the current squad for the new season?

Can kinda see where you're going with this but the match fitness of our current squad has got to take priority over opportunities for trialists. Also don't forget that a lot of these lads will also have daily training opportunities with the squad to stake a claim too.

we may now have a settled team by the looks of it .But to take one or two more from the ones on trial cant do any harm .Its always good to have back up, in most positions .Phil Brown is taken by the lad from Hereford who plays right back .And he is also taking another look at the center back .

Must admit I thought Leadbitter had 'something' about him when I saw him at Braintree but I didn't think he played that well last night. Which CB do you mean as there were two on show at Concord?

Leadbitter and both centre backs will play in the home friendlies next week.

No news on any of the others.

It appears doubtful that many, if any, trialists will appear against Charlton. PB having a look at his first X1, just in case he is unable to add to his squad??? :winking:

CP this morning..........

Dan Leadbitter has opted to end his trial at Southend to sign a two year deal with Bristol Rovers according to Phil Brown
another one lost, to a non league club now as well, still I think we would of only gave him a year so probley the best move for him as I can see them walking the conference.

He is doing the right things for himself, two years deal is perfect for him as the season will start in almost two week time.
