Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill was once considered the natural heir to Ashley Cole at Arsenal, but just hasn't kicked on. He could prove to be a very astute signing but I shouldn't imagine they'll be a shortage of suitors for him.

Curtis Obeng might be worth a look. Was really highly rated at Wrexham but hasn't worked out for him on loan at a host of L2/L1 clubs.

Even if we did offer him a contract it certainly does not idicate that it was "crap" To play in a foreign league in front of crowds averaging just under 25,000 and experience a new culture strikes me as an excellent opportunity. Fair play to him for having the courage to give it a go.

I see your point, but its hardly a decent move from a playing point of view. The standard is very poor and quite a few european players have gone over and returned fairly quickly. Experiencing a new culture whilst on holiday is one thing, to live in somewhere like India is very different. But as you say fair play to him for giving it a go

I don't know about the standard and how it compares to League 1. I agree that living in India is very different to a holiday but I suspect he has only signed for 1 season so not too long a committment. Perhaps you could call it a gap year!

We are used to players from overseas coming to England but given that contracts for footballers, particulalry in the lower leagues, tend to be quite short I am surprised that more British players do not try their luck overseas.

We can't afford half the players on the championship list, so now we start picking players on the premiership list..... The mind boggles... Oh this is The SZ after all as you were.

It's being reported this evening that he's joined Swindon.

Maybe for the best. Wouldn't have fancied seeing some of the zoners try and spell that one!

Maybe we should sign another player released from Arsenal, Oluwasemilogo Adesewo Ibidapo Ajayi or Semi Ajayi for short.

Callum Harriot released by Charlton as well as looking to offload piggy, Rhoys Wiggins and Andre Bikey. Think I would have all four of them, especially Harriot the kid is a class act not sure why he's been released!
