Anyone know how to access the PFA free agents list or have they taken it away unless you're a club? Went on there but it was telling me to sign up and state which club I'm from and what position I hold as a staff member.

Will Bury be full of Clarkes as they add Two of our former players in Peter Clarke and Leon Clarke. Rivals snapping up players , no doubt we will wait for a few dregs to trial a week before kick off as per usual? We will play unknown forwards in pre season who will do the business then Phil will sign season long loanees who will misfire and Then Phil will plunge into the loan market again with the signing of Micky Misser who in his previous 1000 games managed 1 goal,many on the Zone will praise MM for his movement and continue to tell everyone the goals will come.:smile:

Plenty of time to sign players, yet my biggest fear is being priced out of the market in league 1 as far as wages are concerned. Have no idea what a decent forward would want to sign for Southend, but say, 2,500 a week, can we afford that, can see us struggling to get the players we really want in, in this div, and having to settle for 2nd best.

Non league quality is the way to go. Someone who scores for fun in the conference would bite your hand off for a chance to prove themsleves in the league .

Would love that to happen, a real gem that has been overlooked, but for every Freddy, theres countless non league players who will never be good enough, but doesn't mean we should not look.

Lee Angol is on loan from Luton who probably wouldn't want a minimal fee though! Agree that non-league talent needs to be explored more, but Posh never assembled their non-league gem squad cheaply. George Boyd for example was rumoured to have cost them £260,000. That's an expensive risk to take and one that I doubt we'd be able to make.
I believe Freddy cost us around £40,000 and I would say that's the absolute most we should be spending on any non-league player. Even that might be too much.
