To be fair he's inherited a lot of younger players but he does like experience that's for sure. Resale value isn't on the check list for new signings.I believe Phil Brown is now our manager, so no.

People really moaning about signing a 31 year old experienced midfielder? Did you not learn anything from last season no?
Also please don’t pay any attention to what the Barnet fans are saying about JD, 9 times out of 10 the selling clubs fans will always say he’s sh*t etc..
Get behind the lad (if he signs) and make your own opinion of him after actually watching him play rather than being negative before he’s even kicked a ball.
I dont mind signing couple old pros, but would prefer players in their mid 20s who will offer more in the long term.I believe Phil Brown is now our manager, so no.
Interesting view from a visitor.... a bit of luck with injuries we make the play offs. Our sights of course are on winning the league with record points spurred on by record crowds. The line up of signings and potential signings that are so far resolutely average to average plus aren't making the slightest dent in that expectation. A dire couple of seasons but bottom half of NL would still be viewed as failure I think.TBF I only joined when you signed Sim (and we got Moshni) - an outstanding player, with a great work ethic, and more talent than 99% of the players in the Conference and a record of success, just a bit fragile. If you get 40 league games out of him next season then you'll be in the play offs. I just say it as it is.
Rhys Murphy has also destroyed us before - we've tried to sign him before, he has potential to be excellent for you.
Having seen him play when at Dover and once for Aldershot recently, I don’t believe he’s a target man. Has played very little football since leaving Dover and clearly has had issues in his personal life, whilst at Peterborough and Port Vale.Ricky Miller incoming???
Given his passion, he will love to play in front of big crowds at Root Hall and big away following at like of Barnet etc.Interesting signing if true.
68 goals in 118 games at National League level is a great record, but he has had a tough time off the pitch from reading his Wiki page. If he is signing, let's hope he is still capable of producing moments like these ...
Source?Ricky Miller incoming???
Source?
Except he has only played RB twice in his entire career- he has spent his career in CM/DM (300 games).Yep
we must all ignore the following as Phil continues his love affair with the elderly and knackered. Signs looking ominous unless he can fall off a horse or something like that and have a Tilson Damascine revelation, sadly unlikely
Recents Comments on Dunne by fans who know nothing of course...........
Out of position in midfield, prefers right back
only 23 appearances last season
2 reds then furloughed
Not very good
Think his legs may be gone
8 games then injured
Not a single vote for Player of the year
His attitude Sucks
Well off the pace in last appearances
Runs around a lot to no effect
Any chance of a decent NL signing like Hobson who is under 32??
Im sure he will be great for us,
Compared to this time last year that's a massive age swing, at least we are getting business done earlyPhils Contract planning so far
WHITE Aged 35
HALFORD Aged 37
? DEMETRIOU Aged 33
MURPHY Aged 30
? DUNNE Aged 32
? Holmes Aged 33
? Miller Aged 32
Thank God for HOBSON
I appreciate we need a bit of experience but FFS !!
New shirt sponsor .PHYLLOSAN ??
Well, we’ve signed a lot of past it or injury prone players in recent seasons so can understand people being worried. I trust PB to put these players through their paces and decide whether they’re what we need and well, he’s got experience. Last season people said we were lacking it! A winning team silences the moaners and well, sometimes not even then!Except he has only played RB twice in his entire career- he has spent his career in CM/DM (300 games).
He played 21 of 24 games before his furlough and captained the side. Played 5 missed 3 then played 16. Not only picked every time he was available, but for the first 18 games played the full 90 minutes.
So yes if they said this they are probably every bit as insightful as ours. And of course the managers(s) selecting the teams are idiots (should leave it to the fans)
Why do we have to slaughter players before they even play a game- is it because once they do the opportunity to do so might disappear..
