A Bit of Fun Transfer Rumours Thread (Potential New Signings)

Right, time to bring it back on topic. Anybody know where we are at with the following:

Ricky Holmes - latest reports are that it's nearly there, but that may just be Salesman Phil talking
Mr Eyebrows - it seems to have gone a bit quiet on that front, is it still a possibility?
Matt Dennis - he played well last night, is it nearly over the line now?
Hamzad Kargbo - didn't get on the field last night. Is he still in the frame?
A.N.Other goalkeeper - is Phil still looking or is Seaden staying for the season rather than going on loan
A.N.Other centre back - this was mentioned previously, or has Phil decided he has enough now that Ralph can clearly play on the left of a back 3 if necessary
A.N.Other striker - if the eyebrows thing doesn't work out, will we see another striker or is Phil happy with just Rush and potentially Kargbo as back up options?

And what about outgoings? Any chance of shifting Sim. and/or ANG before the season starts?

I'm looking at you @in the know , @BoyWonder2 and any of the others with some inside track on the club. Over to you!

I thought Dennis looked lethal last night. His pace and trickery would absolutely muller most defences in this league.

I don't know or haven't seen much of Kargbo but Dennis is a must sign for a loan.

Hope Holmes does stay as he will be a fantastic impact sub, particularly away from home.

As for Akinde, if indeed it is him that is signing. Do we need a big earner with two very useful forwards already at the club and rush and Kargbo in reserve?

...and I was very grateful for it, if memory serves it was mainly about RH, the loanees and the new coach. I was wondering if you'd picked up anything else about these or some of the other matters that you were able to share since Monday evening, perhaps at or after the game last night?

@Moley is usually a good source of info but has been MIA for a while.

You’re obviously very easily annoyed then. I wasn’t crying either, I was simply stating that we couldn’t compete with that level of spending/wages even if he was a target of PB.

Other than that, good points well made.

Is that sarcasm?

A third relegation spot does increase your chances of falling through the trapdoor but it also makes it less of a trapdoor if it is easier to come back.

Would L2 teams prefer to be playing Scunthorpe, Col Ewe and Barrow or Torquay, Stockport and Notts County or is there no real difference?

Arguably it should be 4 up from the conference and down from L2 to clear the backlog but that isn't realistic.
 
I would be in favour of 3 down from Division 4 and 3 being promoted from the Conference

I would also be in favour of having the top Conference teams in the L.D.V. cup (instead of under 23 teams) but I suspect the fixture congestion would not allow that.

Off topic I know so I'll shut up now.

I'm sure at one point there were Conference sides in the LDV. Or have I imagined that.
