A Bit of Fun Transfer Rumours Thread (Potential New Signings)

Same can be said for Charlie Kelman and his last appearance for us. It may be that Akinde is fed up at Gillingham and is just going through the motions. A bit like Leon Clarke also did for us in his last game, away at... can't remember. Nouble is another one... was awful here, but absolutely tore us a new one when he went to Newport and they beat us in the cup. We all wondered why he couldn't do that for us! I think it's a case of "wouldn't" rather than "couldn't".
But Akinde for me drops into that category of one minute you wonder why he's not in the Premier League, and another you wonder how he is even a professional footballer. But he is proven at NL level.
Beggars can't be choosers, as they say. This is the pond we now fish in.
I watched Barnet v Nuneaton in April 2015 when Barnet won the Conference.

Akinde scored, was booked and was the best player on show, working really hard for the team. Without wishing to stimulate a post from Barry C, I would note that he was 25 then and still hungry.

He's 32 now and, even if he has some good reasons for not giving a **** (working for Evans is surely one), I've had an absolute gutful of players with plenty of skill but *** all effort.

Marc Antoine Fortune he is not.

Not for me thanks.

Surely it wouldn't be Leon Clarke - I thought he was trying to get the "most clubs played for" listing in the Guinness Book of World Records and he has already been with us.*

* And if I remember correctly he did well.

Are they a runner? Because Phil was running the London Landmarks Half Marathon, I hear Mo Farah’s got a good engine and his nephew used to play for our yoofs too!

No apologies for being a mile off topic but Marc Antoine Fortune was one of the most underrated players we've had in recent seasons IMO.
Could never understand why some gave him stick - top player.

Certainly. But some are told info in good faith and asked not to leak for risk of jeopardising any potential deal. There’s a handful of very ITK posters on here and I’m sure they would love to spill the beans, but cant.
That can say without even saying the name by saying if the name has been mentioned or not
