As much as the Andy Carroll suggestion is absurd in many ways being at the level we are, you never really know, players have dropped surprisingly many levels before but I wouldn't be able to see it personally.

I’m not sure if anyone is actually being serious when they say Mohsni, but just in case anyone is. He has recently joined a club in Saudi Arabia.

Same can be said for Charlie Kelman and his last appearance for us. It may be that Akinde is fed up at Gillingham and is just going through the motions. A bit like Leon Clarke also did for us in his last game, away at... can't remember. Nouble is another one... was awful here, but absolutely tore us a new one when he went to Newport and they beat us in the cup. We all wondered why he couldn't do that for us! I think it's a case of "wouldn't" rather than "couldn't".
But Akinde for me drops into that category of one minute you wonder why he's not in the Premier League, and another you wonder how he is even a professional footballer. But he is proven at NL level.
Beggars can't be choosers, as they say. This is the pond we now fish in.
