Transfer News and Gossip Transfer Rumours Thread 2024/25 - Time to Cook šŸ‘Øā€šŸ³

Transfer news
So when this week started we were probably 4 players behind other teams.

As the week is ending, weā€™re currently 6 players behindā€¦ progress!

Iā€™m sure Iā€™ll be told Iā€™m slagging off COSU when they saved us - but the inability to have even close to a full squad is ridiculous given the backing the club have received from fans.
The football department are waiting for the right players, with the likes of Moncur and Walker arriving, itā€™s worth the wait.

The Kensdale situation and injured players are out of the clubs control.

Considering the parallels of catching up with both on field and off fields matters they are have done a fantastic job.

Iā€™m really hoping we can go in for Dalby on loan. Think heā€™d be a perfect Cardwell replacement.
Not just you specifically.

But why are people so attached or so unaware of whatā€™s out there other than ex Southend players? šŸ˜‚ The knowledge or idea that other players away from Southend United past and present is just not a thing in some peopleā€™s minds.

Waiting for the right players earlier on in pre-season would make total sense. I find it hard to believe that weā€™re still waiting for the right players to the extent we canā€™t fill a match day squad. Even if you get the 2-3 new squad players through the door before the key signings come later, would be a lot more acceptable.

Forson Appiah played in Europe for West Ham - who was the last player we had who had previously played in Europe?
Nile Ranger played a Europa League fixture away to Bordeaux for Newcastle in December 2012, and most recently signed for us in February 2021.

Earlier in the 2020/21 season we brought in Kaziah Sterling on loan, who had made a two-minute Champions League cameo for Tottenham against Apoel Nicosia in December 2017.
