Transfer News and Gossip Transfer Rumours Thread 2024/25 - Time to Cook 👨‍🍳

Transfer news
Quite.
But look at the positives, an extra point from York at home than last year AND the league havent started us on minus 10.
I can see a lot of teams beating each other, Barnet already lost, get a run going and you just know we'll rocket up the table.
Yup. Maher’s team each season have gone on a blazinf run at some point. Once we do that this season with the momentum fans can provide we’ll fly. It’s patience.

Can people please stop saying we nearly went bust because Ron threw money at expensive players gambling to get promoted. Makes him sound good. We nearly went belly up as he raped the club of its assets and wasted tens of millions on interest, fines, penalties, helicopters, hair care, petrol for his Bentley, Liam Ridgewell, frivoulous appeals, a multitude of planning applications and a myriad of other wasteful costs.

Maybe the club and player should talk money at the start of a trial so the can both manage their expectations instead of wasting a couple if weeks smooching each other and getting fans worked up over what could have been.

Maybe they did and do. Unlikely you'd agree to go and train for a few days potentially for just expenses if you didn't think the club you were trailing at could get near what you wanted.

In this instance, i think another opportunity may have come up while on trial here.

TBF, he did though. We spent way beyond our means and borrowed from Peter (HMRC) to pay Peter (Lee Barnard etc). So, all things are true.
