He may still not have stayed given the lure of a Championship club must surely be greater than even a SUFC under new ownership, but we never stood a chance while our owner behaves as he does. It will be a miracle if we are not in a relegation battle this season as it seems like Ron's not interested in selling and slowly but surely our better players are lured away elsewhere, and who can blame them?

Does a club's right to EPPP compensation end once they've been outside the EFL for two years even if they self fund continuation in the FYLA etc? If it does and his last contract finished without being able to offer a new one there's probably nothing to get a fee for.

No, but at least he may well have been under contract with us and we would get a fee.

A few posters have mentioned our squad and that we'll be playing youth. Can anyone point me in the direction of the rules that says this is allowed? From what I can see we are limited to 16 players and can only sign non contract players if our squad falls below 16. I can't see anywhere that allows us to field youth team players.

I Think any youth player is automatically available and doesn't have to be registered if between 16-23. They don't count vs registration numbers but we would be expected to field them first as eligible.

I can’t confirm if you’re right, but we seem to have been under the same limitations for pre-season regarding squad size as we will be in the league (hence Sandat and Demetriou couldn’t be involved). Youth team players have been allowed to play so this makes sense.

I think, but not 100% sure, we're covered by these rules.....

We can have a maximum of 16 players under contract and registered to play in the NL. If for some reason one of those 16 is injured we can bring someone in to replace them but we would need to unregister the injured player and register the new player, but we can’t have more than 16. That’s my understanding

Only if injured for a set time though

Do you know how **** you must be if your contract gets cancelled while the club has no players but yeah you’d think we’d of kept him baring in mind the situation we are in
