You'd be surprised, Cowling likes to run the ship there, he'll just sanction it himself. Can't see Hopper being anytime soon given the they are managerless currently. New manager might want to assess the squad first so would imagine ColU wouldn't want to let him out on loan or otherwise right now.
If he does interfere that much, perhaps thats the reason manager after manager fails there? You'd be surprised, Cowling likes to run the ship there, he'll just sanction it himself.
100% it's part of the reason, lets also not forget to mention he tends to go for managers with very little first team management, the list of former managers and how many caretakers have taken over is dumbfounding. If he does interfere that much, perhaps thats the reason manager after manager fails there?
Oh, sorry. Stan Collymore then maybe.I meant anyone on here.
How could they stoop so lowBetting suspended on our next manager, rumour has it the Cowleys are coming in, no doubt we will announce something later this evening. This could mean no transfers until they have run their eyes over the squad unless of course they have been doing that already!

Their stock was pretty high, what seems like not long ago. Surely that would be seen as a decent appointment?Betting suspended on our next manager, rumour has it the Cowleys are coming in, no doubt we will announce something later this evening. No, but I have seen the number of one on ones/ decent chances we have absolutely trousered since Cardwell has been out of the side. The point is, a striker rarely loses his eye for the goal, so getting him on loan to fill a much needed gap isn't exactly a difficult decision, given our current plight.
He is 30 years old not 40, and could be what we need to get over a spell of very few goals needed.
Pretty sure Tom Hopper and The Cowleys were together at Lincoln. Might be wrong of course.Betting suspended on our next manager, rumour has it the Cowleys are coming in, no doubt we will announce something later this evening. He has been pretty much injury free other than the odd knock here and there his only lengthy injury was in August/September last year when he suffered a groin strain that kept him out for around 4 weeks. He was often on the bench but other than that he has very rarely played for us despite all the changes in managers. Not that confident on the Tom Hopper move as beneficial. Rotten injury for him , but since has lost his scoring boots and we are in desperate need of strikers. Neither do we need another Hyde ( and seek )
Just 13 goals in last 113 appearances, and is it really just 1 goal in 30 appearances for Colchester over past 2 years , that's not many appearances either. Kabalonga upfront would be a better bet if those stats are accurate
Perhaps Colchester and Proud can fill in the extra injury bits?
No I think Tom joined just afterwards under Michael Appleton.Pretty sure Tom Hopper and The Cowleys were together at Lincoln. Might be wrong of course.
Yes if it is them they will shake the club up, I think they will require more control than many of the recent coaches have had. Oh well lets see, it could be anyone!Their stock was pretty high, what seems like not long ago. Surely that would be seen as a decent appointment?
Didn't the Cowleys leave Huddersfield because they wanted more control over transfer policy? Can't see how they'd get on with your owner unless their reputation means he's willing to give them a lot more control than usual.Betting suspended on our next manager, rumour has it the Cowleys are coming in, no doubt we will announce something later this evening. So would I, but Danny has been seen deep in conversation with Robbie, at our last two home games.I’d be gobsmacked if the Cowley’s ended up in a league two relegation battle if I’m honest.
Yes I thought someone might say that, sorry Ricey it’s your forum not Col U, I only mentioned our manager thing in relation to the Tom Hopper situation, please feel free to delete my Cowley posts on this thread if you wish. Cheers. Can we get back on topic please
