Arguably, the court case is just what the consortium needs - this matter (the take over) has been draggin on ...... and on.

There is now a deadline (I know there have been others in the past) and that seems to concentrate the minds of certain individuals.

Like I said in the tweet, it's not been announced by the National League and it's really frustrating, if true.

But when one looks at the regulations it makes clear that they must impose one where a club has been served with a winding-up petition (which we have) and where it has not been satisfied in full (which we haven't hence the adjournment):

I'm praying it isn't true and hate to be the bearer of potential bad news, but I got told it by a reliable source and decided to share it. May explain why we've not been active this summer yet and the delay behind the retained list being released.

Really do hope this is not true, but a reminder that the sale needs completing faster than ever. Another disrupted pre-season will do our chances of getting out of this league no good.

I get that, but a rumour has been spread with no foundation whatsoever and it's caused panic. Not cool.

Misinformation is a huge cause of stress and worry for the fan base. We all know this isn’t 100% and the delays are currently because of CBRE and the council with maybe a little bit of Ron sprinkled in there too.

But we had a WUP in April & no embargo. Why would the change on the second adjournment? Do you get a free hit with the first? Nothing makes sense they just do it on a whim. Hopefully we’re not..

Earlier today people were suggesting we wouldn’t or unlikely to sign any player until takeover is completed anyway. Might as well through the embargo into the mix as well

Exactly my thoughts. Assuming we have triggered extensions already on the ones we want to keep, then it is status quo really if the consortium weren’t going to sign off any new signings. Unless of course they were planning to go ahead with some but were going to play hard ball for another month or so.
