That’s not JS fault though, although he did watch Kanu play…
Never said it was. I was making the point he wasted his time doing the research when we can't sign no one. Admittedly he wasn't to know we would still be in this dire situation. Kanu a player majority of clubs in the lower leagues would of heard of. JS is more of specialist in unearthing players from the lower reaches of football.

Once the embargo is lifted, he won’t have wasted his research on those that arrive.

I didn’t say Kanu was “spotted” by JS, but he was watched by him.

Stan did, but as was confirmed at the Shrimpers Trust AGM, Stan is having a break and his position will be reviewed when the consortium are in place.
I think we and Stan can work this out. We seem to know what we’re going to do with the east stand in five years time, what players we’re signing in the next 6 months and that KM has been offered a new contract but not where Stan fits in on day one ? Really ?

Unlike the east stand, Stan has other jobs. He needs to only stay employed by the club if he is needed and it fits around his other commitments

Can the club just not announce new signings? Are they allowed to announce new players in the team without prior announcement of signing?
Yes. As long as the paperwork is with the league and ref they can announce a signing whenever they like. We’ve announced a new signing many a time around 2pm. I wonder if today will be the same?…

Only 23 minutes until we’ll get some answers.

It'll certainly show us how much of yesterday's rumours turned out to be true. Fingers crossed Sandat has joined us, even if it's only for a month and that CM may even feature too. The takeover was always more of a possibility rather than a definitive so think people were getting a bit excited about it all being 100% done!

And just like that Sandats return has been confirmed. Anymore for anymore!?

We are delighted to welcome academy graduate Henry Sandat back to the club, on a one-month loan from Championship club Hull City.

The 18-year-old striker left the club in the summer to take up a great opportunity with the Tigers, but is now back in Essex as he looks to gain some more first-team experience.

Sandat progressed right the way through the academy at Roots Hall, making his debut as a 17-year-old at Aldershot Town then scoring the winner against Gateshead the following February. He made 12 appearances in all last season.

On his arrival back home, Sandat said: “I got a phone call asking if I wanted to come back, and I want to help this team and see where it goes. It’s been difficult with the embargo so it’s just been about getting that stuff out the way, but once it looked like that might happen, it was all done in a few days.

“The team’s done unbelievably for the amount of players they’ve had. It shows how together they are and I get on well with all the lads, so I’m buzzing to be back.

“I can’t thank the gaffer enough because I wouldn’t be in the position I am today if it wasn’t for him so hopefully I can re-pay him on this loan.

“If I can top that moment against Gateshead, I’d be buzzing because I’d never felt that way about that scoring a goal before.”

Welcome back Henry!
