We had him at Col U on trial and tried to sign him, unfortunately at the time he had refugee status and the government wouldn’t give him a work permit. Roll on a year or two and the rules were relaxed, we were still interested but Matt Bloomfield left us to manage Wycombe and so they became keen to. He chose the higher placed club, why wouldn’t he.

I wonder if we’re one of the clubs keeping tabs on Jake Tabor at Amersham? Has apparently had a number of league and NL clubs watch him and previously had a trial at Wycombe the same time they signed Kone. Sounds like he’s had numerous offers from NL clubs but turned them down and is waiting until the end of the season to make a decision on his next move. 22 years old and over 150 goals in 3 seasons.

I would be incredibly surprised if we paid that for him. A fee which could rise to £70k if we get promoted with him in the squad, other conditions are met etc. could be realistic, but would be very surprised if we’ve laid out £70k on him straight up.
