I’m sure Cowley wanted him to get a move here. He just didn’t mind the idea of us paying well over the odds.

Not really anything to do with him really is it, the only people it should matter to is the player and the club, if they can’t reach a compromise that both parties are happy with, they should end it and move on.

Different Rutherford. Alfie Rutherford still plays for Dorking, he's the one who we had trouble getting insurance for due a to heart or health issue. Not sure if it is any better or we'd be able to get it now but he is someone I would be very interested in. He's out of contract in the summer so potentially one for then

Yes, and I think we genuinely thought he would be. My guess is that his agent asked Cowley to talk about the ‘tons of interest’ to help drive up wage demands, and seeing an opportunity to **** with Southend, he gladly did.

What is weird is comparing a job interview or trial day for a normal job to a professional footballer moving clubs.

I’ve read more than a rumour, but you continue to condescend someone you haven’t got a clue of what they know.
