We have had a lot of changes in his position and he seems the one currently out of favour, he has another season after this to go unless he leaves early. We had Aaron Donnelly arrive in late August who played every game,an outstanding young player who was called back to Forest in Jan and sold to Dundee on a 3.5 year deal. Tom Flanagan is very experienced and also captain so unlikely to be dropped. Kelleher is very decent but injury prone, he has been playing very well lately and seems to be 1st choice to partner Flanagan at present. However this week we signed another guy on loan from MK who has fallen out of favour who the Cowleys rate highly. We then have young Frankie Terry who is also a central defender so despite losing Aaron we have plenty of cover. I think the guy from MK is probably on trial here with a view to possibly signing him outright in the summer. This means poor old Goodliffe is going to struggle for games, so he is coming there to get game time and help you guys out at the same time. He is big, strong, and fearless with an eye for goal, he has scored 4 this season-already!@Colchester and proud! What’s the story? Is he decent but on his way back from injury, or just can’t get the side?
Makes sense! Thanks mateWe have had a lot of changes in his position and he seems the one currently out of favour, he has another season after this to go unless he leaves early. He loves a header! When he was younger he was a centre forward but then converted to a central defender, probably due to his lack of pace to some degree. Get him in the box for your corners he is a bloody menace to the opposition.Check out the 1st two goalsHow has he scored 4 in 14 appearances for Colchester from defence? Get him up front!
The next Spencer Prior? He loves a header! When he was younger he was a centre forward but then converted to a central defender, probably due to his lack of pace to some degree. Get him in the box for your corners he is a bloody menace to the opposition.Check out the 1st two goals
Spinner had plenty of pace and scored 13 times in his career (500+ games) so probably not.The next Spencer Prior?

I am just happy we have owners.this is unacceptable we was told it was done. I wish we had ambitious owners.
no, there were internet rumours that it was done. don't believe internet rumours. it's not done until there's a picture on the site holding a scarf. we have no idea what's gone on behind the scenes with this. we might have very ambitious owners, but ones with finite moneythis is unacceptable we was told it was done. I wish we had ambitious owners.
I'd say it's probably because despite the number of bodies, we still need quality there (and think Crowther is out for a while). Is it ok to ask on here why we have brought another centre back in on loan when it is one of the few places we don't really need to add bodies?
I was saying that those rumours about the transfer being blocked were untrue, and that he was training with us and expected to sign. A contract was agreed and then him and his agent got greedy. You were saying? @The Original Tribal Chief
Sounds like Tom and his agent might have talked themselves out of a deal, if you agree a contract that should be the end of it.I was saying that those rumours about the transfer being blocked were untrue, and that he was training with us and expected to sign. Needs to be better regulation and tracking around agents, this happens all too often no matter what you league you are in.Sounds like Tom and his agent might have talked themselves out of a deal, if you agree a contract that should be the end of it.
Do you reckon Goodliffe is part of the plans or maybe this is a loan with a view to a permanent? It has all gone very quiet probably because the games are about to start! Lets see what tonight brings although I suspect nothing much will be said until Monday.
I think although he could come back this may be a view to a permanent deal, much depends on how our new defender from MK gets on.Do you reckon Goodliffe is part of the plans or maybe this is a loan with a view to a permanent?
