Transfer Embargo, Winding Up Petition & Staff Salary Issues

Would it be a viable option to set up a go fund me, or what ever it may be fund
to assist those members of staff that are struggling the most.
I mean we are all struggling, but as a club/supporters could we not help those that need it most.
In years gone by, I was in exactly the same position as those not being paid, it's not nice, not knowing if you are going to get paid, OR NOT, it's a gamble.
Fcuk Ron, if he cant or wont help his employees through this tough time, then can not we as supporters of our club help those that are trying to keep our club togther. Even if its £1.00, a quid.
Just a thought, that's all.
That’s a really great idea. I’d be happy to help. Could get some famous fans and ex players to chip in too?

... Would take somebody within the club to be sent the funds who could then distribute the monies to those who need it.
As fans we obviously don’t have access to those who need help etc but they do.

Would really show the truth on what’s going on and the shambles od the ‘value‘ system that’s currently being upheld as it benefits some people’s egos and bank balance.

Why shouldn’t the fans be allowed to help in this way?

And they almost certainly are. Whether they get clear answers is another matter, and sometimes they are bound with 'in confidence' responses, so spilling the beans on here isn't always an option.
As a Shrimpers trust member I expect transparency and this "in confidence" nonsense is once again ensuring you are in Mr Martins pocket.

I agree. The Trust is there to ask questions on behalf of its members. Nothing should be accepted "in confidence". He either tells us the answers, which is then relayed to the members, or not. I wonder if any of the trust members are subject to an NDA ?

How on earth can we expect 100% performance from our players on the road when they will have to be up crack of dawn, travelling all day to these places? Shocking.

It's straight forward impacting the team. Mind you it was arguably worse back in the day when he didn't pay players and told them they didn't deserve to be paid when they spoke up to him. That worked wonders!

No boots the team are playing in carpet slippers .No shirts they are playing in t shirts with there names stitched on .And the point is i doubt no one knows the real truth .And we all know Ron does not know the truth Nor does he know how to run a football club .

I wonder if we owe Macron a load of money too, if you want to buy an adult home shirt online its L or 5XL only, suggesting we haven't paid them and they won't make any more up until we do, away is only available in XXL, 4XL and 5XL

My experience with hmrc is they'd need to see some evidence. Don't normally take BS answers
It's not HMRC, it's the court. The court would need to see that there are funds being made available and what the timing of that would be. The adjournment date would then be set accordingly.

For me the issue is that date. The EFL transfer window would have been open for about 2 and half weeks by that point so it is possible that we would lose players early Jan and not be able to replace them until later in the month.

We won’t be the only club in the division this applies to. It’s an example of cutting our cloth accordingly now we’re non-league. Of course the reason we’re non-league is because we were already 7 points adrift by the time we came out of embargo and a makeshift squad who weren’t paid on time weren’t able to claw that back.
It is, but if you want to get out of this division (the right way) then you need to be better than the opposition, not as bad as them, and that includes off-field as well as on.

Or, if you ask @Ayrshire Blue who works in this industry, he’ll explain that we aren’t the only Club struggling with our kit. He has explained this previously.

Just ask Stockport County fans about their kit too.

Not everything is because we are skint.

We haven’t always stayed overnight before long away trips.

Under PB mark one, we often took the train on the day of the game for long away trips. Under Tilson, even in the Championship we made long away journeys on the day of the game, I believe Preston was one of them.

It was frequent under Sturrock too.

It’s not a case of us only doing it because we are non-league, we’ve done it when we’ve been flying high too.
I believe train travel is considered one of the best ways to get to away games as well as it allows the players to get up and stretch their legs in a way they can't on a coach. Apparently it's cheaper too (so long as you buy in advance and jump through all the hoops the TOCs need you to).

Also train companies can’t really stop supplying you unlike coach companies
