I noticed them 3 weeks ago, when there to buy Notts County tickets!. Thought it was somewhat odd they were parked where they are?.Daniel and Mark? Or do you mean those silver/grey monsters that have been parked up near the Club shop for weeks?
Yes I know that ,but it was part of the ‘deal ‘ and costing £’s surely for a ‘player ‘ that isn’t playing ,no ?Hyde is just a loan
Every Time I go up the shop those 2 bentleys are at the top of the car park.Hearing there's loads of Bentleys in the car park..
I suspect that the debt owed is historic and our current income meets our current outgoings.Wages are being paid, albeit some, not all are late and some people have agreed to defer wages.
I suspect all monies coming in is going out on the general running of the club, it's just that income isn't enough - like it hasn't been for decades and like it isn't for the vast majority of clubs
In 2019 we were a L1 club, it's not comparable to where we are nowOooops ! Apologies the consultancy fee for 2019 accounts was only £300,000!
I wonder how many other National league club chairman are taking a cool £300,000 per year?
Also where is the DD from the Shrimpers Trust?
I believe they are there even if you don’t go to the shopsEvery Time I go up the shop those 2 bentleys are at the top of the car park.
anyone making any progress on the lifeboat ?
Not much. As bad luck would have it, we struck the burg in Southend council waters. We were all waiting for the SS Sainsbury to recuse us but they turned around when we were listing 15 degrees.
Southend Council have delayed their 'All boats away' meeting util tomorrow, as Doris has her hair done on Saturdays. So its now looking increasingly like every man for himself.
There are few blokes standing around constantly moaning and expecting others to sort it out. I've got my eye on them as no doubt they are the sort who would shove the women and children out of the way when it comes to it.
One more thing the queues for life belts are ridiculous. Understaffed and under paid. Why haven't they got an online system or even a Wheres my life belt app.....Whole ships an absolute joke.
But are they.I believe they are there even if you don’t go to the shops
So when he was on radio Essex after chestifked hStan has always said he’d stay clear of finances and the stadium, it’s not within his remit. So I don’t get when things go on that are outside of his remit, people demand answers from him.
sadly no ketchup in the kitchen at boots and lacesNo soap?.

I think Mr Jobson's son has something to say on how much money actually changed hands.FYI Ron using Martin Dawn PLC and Delancey Estates, together forming South Eastern Leisure (SEL), took control of Southend United in November 1998, buying the club and its centrally located Roots Hall ground for £4m from then chairman Vic Jobson.
Thats 24 years ago. We overreached ourselves aiming to stay in the Championship, and then again trying to get back into it (6th and 8th placed finishes the following seasons). Along came the financial crash of 2008, a global pandemic in 2020 and the rest as they say is history.
We are truth be known still playing catch up from that period.

…..and then what ??? Have Ron junior take over to maintain the appalling toxic dynasty that has all but destroyed us as a reputable club. ??Any 'Martin Out' protests are absolutely pointless, and an unwelcome distraction for the playing staff and players. He's not going anywhere. His pot of gold has never been so near. We just have to put up with this crap until all the development is done, and he retires to enjoy his riches.

Did I not read something in the Echo recently suggesting the full amount was never paid and is still owing.
We struggled during the financial crash of 08/09 and unfortunately there's another financial crash on its way. It has to be noted that we've learned nothing about living within our means in the period in between - we were running the 5th highest wage bill in league 1 allegedly, which shows ambition but also financial recklessness.Yeah I know that, but the issues were suffering now began around 2008 or 2009. Players and staff not being paid on time was a constant theme throughout 2009/10 and the latter part of 08/09. And I'm sure Steve Tilson told me as long ago as 2008 that Ron had defaulted on loan fees to parent clubs of some of our loan players. So maybe make that 14 years that this has been happening, and 14 years of reputational destruction in the game for our club. No other club comes close, so no, it's not "the same for everyone else".
