Transfer Embargo, Winding Up Petition & Staff Salary Issues

Again if this is true our Supporters Club I would expect to be raising the issue at the meetings they have with club officers.
And they almost certainly are. Whether they get clear answers is another matter, and sometimes they are bound with 'in confidence' responses, so spilling the beans on here isn't always an option.

Sorry, who agrees not to be paid?
There have quite a few companies that ask staff to defer wages or only receive a certain percentage to get them through difficult times. When a big unexpected (or in our case most defiantly expected) bill arises its sometimes bst to defer or receive less wages for a month or so to alleviate cash flow, paying off the bill and then getting what your owed over the course of the months after.

Some companies do this to try and stave of administration, which in most cases results in redundancies. When asked I'm sure people would prefer some money and prospects of a job rather than heading to the job centre to locate another. There have also been instances where employees gave agreed to a permanent reduction in salary (not so much in recent years) to ensure the business continues.

Cheers. I guess my question should also be will anybody at the club be doing this? From the outside it looks as though office staff not getting paid but higher ups are

At York train station around 11:00hrs some fellow Shrimpers got a selfie with GSM. He was waiting for someone to pick him up. We had stopped at Stevenage on the way and I thought how easy it would be for the team to do train trip

GSM was nice and relaxed and fresh enough to out jump York defenders and put us 1-0 up very early on.
It’s much easier to do a train trip than a Coach or an flight etc.

I'd imagine it would be the higher ups defering any salaries for the time being whilst this "little bump" is resolved. They might be able to see further down the road and it might be an easier "sell" to someone at a higher level to defer or reduce their salary.

The lowest paid would need all of their salary to get by, whilst those in a more fortunate position could defer or reduce their wage and still cover their costs.

Sounds like a good plan. Doubt it will materlialise.

Good on those who have agreed to defer their wages, I hope they eventually do get paid what they are due. I know of a company who did some work for RM, had to go to court to get his due money and then RM bumped into him a few weeks later and asked if he wanted to do some more work - the bloke just doesn't care what happens to others along the way to his dream..

And we are such mugs for letting him do this year on year. It comes to a point where fans have to also see their place in all this

How can anybody expect the players to keep their minds on games without payment?
They are made of flesh and blood just like anybody else.

Maybe some fans think "they should knuckle down and get on with it"
Well that would be a very uncaring attitude.

Imagine getting up very early on a Saturday morning for a payless return trip to Gateshead.
I wonder what the mood of the players would be like?
They are human beings just like you and I and need money to live.

Even though I am on the outside looking in.

Loving the badge won't pay the bills!

So that makes it ok then. I wonder what choice they had.
No where have I said it's ok.

What I'm saying is that someone can say staff haven't been paid - but if the said staff have agreed to a deferral then they haven't really be been late as no wages were due because of the deferral agreement. It becomes grey area.

But anyway I think someone else has said that at least some of the unpaid staff haven't agreed to deferral - so moot point

Surely months of embargoes, staff not being paid, contracts not extended, players unable to be brought in, lack of Gps, transport facilities, no overnight stays, delayed x rays, pay for your own treatment, no insurance provided, no nutritional food, etc

Will have no detrimental impact on our promotion possibilities will it Ron ??
And the showers not working

Would it be a viable option to set up a go fund me, or what ever it may be fund
to assist those members of staff that are struggling the most.
I mean we are all struggling, but as a club/supporters could we not help those that need it most.
In years gone by, I was in exactly the same position as those not being paid, it's not nice, not knowing if you are going to get paid, OR NOT, it's a gamble.
Fcuk Ron, if he cant or wont help his employees through this tough time, then can not we as supporters of our club help those that are trying to keep our club togther. Even if its £1.00, a quid.
Just a thought, that's all.
