Though Colin has done really well, I believe that we need a GK and also a creative attacking cm to compliment the existing cm - Hussin is not that player for me.

Heard he has already been lined up for a move to the EFL when the window opens. Think he cost Notts £150k to put it in to perspective

For what reason would he want that? In any event, that's a possible consequence of today rather than something that either may happen or any have happened to illustrate the point I was making

It's not that he wants an embargo but his decades of financial difficulties has meant that embargoes happen as well as staff not being paid etc goes on and on.

Depends on whether we lose any of our players in the January window.

Hobson's contract is running out and due to the embargo we can't extend it at the moment. Lopata I'm sure is being scouted as well as Kensdale.

If we lost one, am sure we could survive. Two???

The worry for me is that if the money had been paid, all it would need is for HMRC to confirm that and for the case to be dismissed. That would take a matter of minutes. The fact that it hasn't suggests that that is not the case. However, it could also be that the Swindon situation is taking a long time and they haven't even got round to us.

Does anyone know if Swindon have announced anything?

It’ll get extended and would probably get extended a further time if he hasn’t sorted out a bridging loan by the time of the next extension.

Winding companies up is a draconian measure that is only ever a last resort so they are going to give every opportunity to Ron to pay up. If you wind up you’ll get pennies to the pound whereas if you give another extension Ron will probably rustle up another loan before his house of cards collapses.

You’d have thought having (regrettably) been through this 30 odd times everyone would know the drill by now.

Still, I look forward to the day the club is on a more sustainable footing under a new owner. Being rid of Ron has never been closer.

So we are now nearly 6 weeks on from that statement and it has not been settled.
