Transfer Embargo, Winding Up Petition & Staff Salary Issues

Does it really matter....... powder puff utd whoever starts........another mid table of constant steady Eddie draws and Maher scared to score more than one goal.....joke of a club!

whoever starts?
Had among the most shots in the division I believe, and other very good attacking stats.

Not sure you can hold Maher responsible for us shooting high, wide and handsome every time we're well placed.

Not so sure about that
I'd say significantly better than recent years. Mooney, Milely, Hussin, Powell, Kacsper to name a few decent perm signings.
I recall Cosgrave was a signing to get bodies in the door when we were desperate for someone (anyone) up top. Perhaps a loan signing done without the normal DD we would normally apply? It might have paid off, but seems we were not that fortunate.
I would suspect Wimbledon would want him back if they rate him, rather than doing nothing on loan. However, they might just be seeing out his contract the cheapest way, and farming out on loan to cover some of his wages is another possibility.

When is the embargo finaly going to get lifted .Ron said it will be wekks rather than months .Well if its 8 weeks thats 2 months .12 Weeks thats 3 months and so on .So yes it may well be weeks but the more weeks it goes on then it will turn into months .So despite what Ron said it could well be months not weeks .

Weeks not months suggests any time less than 2 complete months to me. That’s if it happens of course.

Be careful what you wish for fellow Shrimpers , another big Rugby Union Club going bust :-(

Ron won't let us go into administration, because if we did he loses control of the club, and that is where another interested party could buy the club.................from the administrator, which is why he is know going down the route of getting a bridging loan, not a cheap option, to pay off HMRC this time around.

Surely anyone wanting to buy the club while in administration would petition to support the winding up order via other impacted parties for non payment etc?

“Any persons intending to appear on the hearing of the Petition (whether to support or oppose it) must give notice of intention to do so to the Petitioners or to their Solicitor in accordance with Rule 7.14 by 1600 hours on 8 November 2022”

Therefore, as this doesn’t occur, does this suggest there isn’t any viable alternative that would be acceptable even by administrators at this stage?

Same. But this guy seems to have more lives that anybody ive seen aha. No doubt this latest hurdle will be jumped.

The winding up petition was put in on the 22nd September so quite a bit before we knew about the embargo (officially)

Might have been paid now and the hearing will be a formality as it normally is. I think someone asked how many ending up petitions there have been. Honestly couldn't say (and if I get bored in work tomorrow I might provide an answer)

However I would say 1 winding up petition is too many.
