Transfer Embargo, Winding Up Petition & Staff Salary Issues

Somehow yes this is welcome money but It seemes Ron would rather get a bridgeing loan than take this golden handshke of help .Its about time Tom spoke up and tell the fans what is happening .

I was disappointed to see Tom was also a director at the main sponsors - PG site services.

To me indicates a lack of focus. A touch of a few eggs in a few baskets when we want someone who is 100% SUFC - night, day and when asleep.

Have I missed something? Where have we said we're not taking our share of this latest pot? I hardly think we'd be promoting it on the official site if we were turning it down.

I know Ron declined previous Covid loans, but that's because he didn't want to be in debt to an outside football creditor. He's in control of most of our debt, as it's to him.

I believe the bridging loan is totally separate. According to companies house it was taken out in August.

Perhaps the Trust could help us gain clarity about the 3 funds and our bequethment during this new era of transparency with supporters

The 9 million over 3 years works out to £41.600 per club per season to help with running costs and sustainability; Not huge, but welcome
Separately and in addition a further £3.6m is available to support the National League Trust and network of club community organisations. I presume the latter has to be applied for

These monies are in addition to the £36m Premier leagues Stadium fund, also available over the next 3 years to help clubs across the football pyramid transform the matchday experience and improve sustainability

Has Ron copped a get out of gaol free card?

I await Toms totally open and transparent update on exactly how our club will benefit from the above 3 funds ?!
I haven’t got time to work it out properly but that maths doesn’t sound right ? 9 million between 20 odd clubs sounds like £400k plus per club over 3 years. A lot more than your figure or have I made a missing something ?

Doubt that we are paying him that much (less than he could earn elsewhere) and its quite common for directors to be Non Execs in a number of companies. So this is probably how he makes up his money to the market rate.
Doubt it takes up any more than a few hours a week of his time, if that.
Non Exec. Directors are generally there to advise, when needed.

It would be helpful to have a statement soon from Tom about the 3 funds and an indication of his view on just how much we will receive per annum of the £9m distribution and to what purposes this money will be used

Secondly have we made any bid into the £36m ground maintenance fund and if not why not

Thirdly , has our Community Trust benefited from the third tranche of money on offer and made any bids

For good measure will the Premier league apply any oversight on how the monies are utilised?

Fairly basic info, which Im sure could be shared with our marvellous supporters

After all we are enjoying our new era of greater communication and transparency are we not?

Or will the curtains stay closed?

Indeed. Typically an NED role is attending a monthly/quarterly board meeting and being available for advise/as a sounding board as and when. With monthly board meetings maybe 4-6 hours a month and these days joining remotely seems to be less of an issue as well.

Having been in a paid NED position, usually a job description has to be in place

Normally these posts are not to onerous, involving limited hours per month and as indicated can be eased by modern meeting practices like "Teams "

I suspect PS Site services are down to earth, honest and practical folk, who may be more likely to work on trust and a handshake or the odd phone call for liaison and advice rather than
any significant formality

However the risk as a NED is for "job creep " i.e. the role gradually keeps expanding !

The other side is sometimes companies like their execs to have a couple of NED roles as it broadens their skillset especially if in an adjacent/relevant space.

Lets not pick holes in Tom hear .He is not the evil one hear .I am sure he does his levle best to get Ron to do the right thing for the club .But we all know Ron hears nothing but the sound of his own voice .And lets not forget Ron is on our side trying to keep the club afloat .Har har har how many times have we herd that old chestnut .All Ron knows is the money he will make .

He’s a non-executive director. There’s a big difference and it makes your point completely irrelevant.

my point was about focus - and the very amusing recent on off sponsorship saga maybe illustrates a very small point I was making .. and maybe makes it relevant or maybe not ?

Who cares..

The central point is that the club is being embargoed and its a sh++ show - AGAIN.

Blame RM, blame TL, blame Putin ...

Its not the fans fault - this club does not lack support ;-)

£42,000. Thats about 0.9% increase in total income. I do hope Tom doesn't spend to much time on his open and transparent report you have demanded.

I would rather he speak to the tax man or even the firm who may or may not be involved in the stadium.....Depends if you react to face book statements or not.

Shame to lose D

Lets hope its enough to pay some staff then?

The swarming darkness and lack of communication continues over the embargo, Anyone out there from the Club with a set of.....

prepared to update us

The lack of communication is staggering

Just over a week ago we were told a bridging loan was being arranged and that it would take weeks not months. So would guess that remains the situation and nothing has changed. Had he said days not weeks then I guess we could demand an update...

The situation is deeply regrettable
