Imho, it would be easier for no seats to be reserved and to accept cash at the gate. If people want to pay by card, this should be done at the ticket offices. It would surely save some of the hassle.

Online ticket system has Gillingham North Bank tickets available for home fans.

I dont doubt that at all, but thats what was said in the office last night. Looking on the Gillingham site they have an initial 600 tickets which means we would have the North too, the problem will come if they request more.

i ll disagree ..... all my dealings with the ticket office have always been efficient , prompt + friendly ..... the club have given some cracking deals for us season tickets holders .... last night cost just £5 whereas my mate went to Concord v Met Police last week and it cost him a tenner !!!!
I realise people just get off on moaning , that will always be the case . But i say give credit where its due . Well done Southend Utd .... to get over 3000 on a chilly night for a notoriously poorly attended cup fixture was impressive.

When the club announce tickets for cup matches , just sort it out early + you get the tickets posted the next day. IF you try to crowd in the ticket office last minute what do you expect ?

Roll on Wembley + a premier team in FA cup round 4 !!!!

Yes if Gillingham request their full 10% we are out of the North - club are working on some ideas however

Reason why there is no cash on turnstiles are more is there were members of staff stealing the money

Lucky you weren't there after the game last night then, queued up for 45 minutes only for the ticketing system to crash at 10:30PM. Felt sorry for the staff as it's the system that's the problem and one of the managers is going to raise it with the club today as it was taking around 5 minutes just to serve one person.

A top of the table clash , against our nearest rivals ( 13 miles as the crow flies ) , on New Years Day , facing former hero Adam Barrett , with the Shrimpers Rampant + on a roll ....what better occasion can you possibly ask for going to Roots Hall that day ????????????????????

The club is hoping for a sell out or near sell out so would rather sell as many tickets to home fans as possible. So get your ticket now + get all your mates to do the same. otherwise the pikeys from the wrong side of the estuary will get a larger area of the ground.

Just taken me 18 mins to buy a ticket for the Bury game next week, despite being No. 1 in the queue on the phone

I'll give credit to the club for setting great prices for these games, excellent decision, but that isn't the office staff's decision. When I ordered tickets for Stockport (as soon as they were announced) I was asked if I wanted them posted or will I collect. Opted to collect as Ive had tickets fail to turn up on more than one occasion, get to the North East, no tickets. Queue up for 15 minutes in the ticket office only for them to be printed then, that good service?

It's a bit of worry though isn't it when Gills could request another 600 while we are actively selling NB tickets to home fans. I can see the clubs dilemma but we really need the NB for what is going to be the most important league game so far this season.

And, as a North Bank ST holder, I am going to be told that the North is closed for a LEAGUE game when? Bad enough for Cup games but I can understand the economics of that.

As PitseaBlue says, I could end up in a position of having very little choice of where I'm moved to, no doubt this will be a popular game, being a Bank Holiday and against top of the League, so I'm sure tickets elsewhere in the ground will sell well. I know I'll end up in W in the West anyway but it would be nice to get the heads up, I know we have unreserved seating and all in the North and it was my choice, etc, etc, but I have paid the same as every other ST holder in the ground so it would be nice to have a bit of advance notice and an advance choice of decent seats over casual attendees.

If the turnstiles perhaps counted the amount of people enterring the ground correctly there shouldnt be a problem! Why is there no issues in taking cash at turnstiles at other grounds we visit?

Counting people entering the ground only works as an effective check if everyone pays the same price (ie no concessions tickets).

Nonsence, if one gate dedicated to concessions there is no issue whatsoever! The majority will be Adults that will pay full whack!

Like I say its all still being debated at the moment - I want the north more then anything for the Gills game

BUT if we do get the north we better behave or it will be gone for good

Don't see why we wouldn't behave, Scott, but point well made.

the center is a flash point it was heated after 2 goal come back against Rochdale now what if that happens against Gillingham we advance in the center they advance

be under no illusions people Gillingham will be in numbers and wont be made to look fools like Rochdale were!

I bought 2 tickets for the Dags away game this morning.....similar to another thread , I was No1 in the queue for approx 20 mins...how does that work?
Also, must say that in all of my dealings with the ticket office they have been friendly and efficient.
