Three most disliked players from your times supporting blues and why.

1) Andy Harris
2) Gordon Connelly
3) Since there are very few who I really don't like, I'm going to throw Harris in there again (once for seeing us out of division 1 and once for seeing us out of division 2)!!

CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT RICKETTS!!!

So make that...

1) Andy Harris (the higher division version)
2) Gordon Connelly
3)= Andy Harris (the lower division version) and Ricketts!

Chris Ramsey - he was not a defender; he was not a football player either.

Mario Walsh - he was not a striker; he was not a football player either.

But, the award for the most despised Southend players goes to ...

Barry Silkman - stupid perm, arrogant attitude, not a midfielder, not a football player either.

1. John Walker - probably the worst defender I have ever seen in a Southend shirt. So utterly dire he left to become a copper. I believe he has risen through the ranks to become a superintendent. I fear that we will see him back as a "legend" before the end of the season.

2. Peter Abbott a centre forward so utterly devoid of ability his efforts were laughable. Those who think Drewe Broughton was a donkey never saw Abbott. Dave Smith used to attach a carrot to his forehead in the hope he would jump higher.

3. Trevor Whymark, a forward who had in a previous existence had played for England, I was really pleased when he signed, but he just could not be arsed, was slower than an arthritic and geriatric snail, and had the turning circle of a jumbo jet.

1. Ian Selley- crap.

2. Sada N'Diaye- scored that goal at Plymouth, after that- crap.

3. Michael Husbands- a player who i always thought was rubbish but people seemed to rate just because he had pace. Crap.

No Way - I really liked Ian Selley I thought he was the nuts.

Hey kev, that must have been the same night we saw Mr. Tinkler!!

Oooh, I may as well join in as I saw Mr Tinkler down chameleon too with all the Northern Wasters (Booty, Morley Tolson Connelly wasnt it?) that Little brought in. Worst time as a blues fan. Even when they were plummeting down the leagues there was the feeling (blind optimism) that we had some decent players punching below their weight, but come the time this lot played for us their lack of caring coupled with lack of ability, and no doubt inflated wages made it very hard to get behind them.

Id go:
1) Connelly
2) Tinkler
3) Booty.

There are some players mentioned that I quite liked, Thurgood and Gridelet spring to mind.

Graeme jones ~ Great hope, full of anticpation, caused one of the big Shrimperzone crashges as I recall when speculation was rife who the hero was..... the great Wigan Wonder..... what a f***king liberty !!!!

Gordon Connely~ seen Better skills over Wanstead flat and more passion

Danny webb ~ Nepotism at its worst.

Allegedly, he tried to force himself onto my mate from uni's Mum whilst he was at Peterborough Utd, at some charity function, he wouldn't take no for an answer and only got the hint when my mate's Dad, a 6'4" London fireman threatended to take him outside.

In no real order.

1) Nathan Jones -
Half Man Half Rodent Judas, Who told everyone how much he loved the club after winning player of the season only to clear of at the first sniff of a bit more cash.

2) Martyn Booty -
Total clogger of a player who's only ball was an aimless put upfield into touch.

3) Gordon Connelly -
Dont think I have ever hated anyone more. Never once put any effort in except for a good half against Brighton.

:finger: to them all.

How could you put down Martyn Booty, Dave, a Southend legend in my eyes.

I've just entered an e petition on the Downing St website calling for him to receive an MBE for his services to football.

cant believe that Tinkler has made an appearence on here, thought he was a good player.

mario Walsh, great shout, feckin awful player. richard young also, great shout.

My god we have had some **** on that pitch haven't we.

But the one for me, that I should have included - Simon Coleman - looked like a school teacher and defo not a sports school teacher - **** is not the word to describe his football abilities. It seems that people are finding picking just three as difficult, lets pick top worst 11 !

Southall

Ramsay
Coleman
Dublin
Roberts

Corbett

Webb
Roach
Walsh
Young

Manager - Colin Murphy

As you can see I have gone for an attacking 4 - 1 - 4 formation.

I tihnk Connelly would definately be better placed to hold that midfield together.....

i was thinking that about Ramsay :D

Oh dearie me!

Totally agree..he was part of the embarrising imfamous side that took a complete hiding away to Gillingham. A player with such a high oppion of himself because he once played in the Brighton side which lost in an FA cup final to Man U. I think he was shown the door because he broke a youth team members leg in a reserve match just because he was taking the p*ss and roasting him down the wing all afternnon.

 what an ****!

I'm really laughing at this one - nothing like a thread slagging off your worst players to get people going. Someone's even popped on from Japan! I'm going to give Dave positive feedback for stirring everyone up!:)
