as far as i see it i agree that there is a generation gap here. Give fredheim_holm and ozzyshrimper there own little board to draw pictures and talk crap, the flirty fifties another (who wants to see people there parents ages coming on to each other as if they are on "wildlife on one"), make this pub over 18 (you are supposed to be 18 to register) and ban access to each others boards. job done.

i think it is a bit unfair to blame the problems on u18's. From what i can gather, most of the people that have been banned are above 18.

I never saw the point in it all Loz...It was maybe a laugh for a few select Zoners.but it got out of hand...I don't know why you would expect a Ban unless you have become some sort of sheep.

The army will often promote the most bolshie privates, on the grounds that they then have a stake in the system, and in my experience they often went on to be the best NCO's.

i would just tighten the rules up and for things such as slagging off the owners or posting offensive/vile images/comments that are likely to offend, i would have a life ban straight off as it is just unnecessary

For what it's worth, i think the Powerbase was taken far more seriously by people who were nothing to do with it. I definitely didn't see any orchestrated attempts to cause trouble. corking wind-up though, one of the many that make SZ worth coming to.

I did try once, starting with 5, then 4 and so on to see if it was possible but I found that two was so much fun that I never got down to one....

FGS ......1.We would have no way of monitoring an over 18 room..people could just simply lie about there age.
2...We do not want to have to segregate people from what is a Football Forum

1. Not your problem though, surely? If you've shown due dilligence and so forth by making it 18+. I might be being dumb in which case tell me, but i would have thought that would have got you out of any legal ramifications?

Actually the main reason for that is because it is just not needed on a football site. Ok this is 'The Pub' and therefore non-related football topics should be allowed to be spread - that point is obvious.

But you have to realise when members come on here and just go around posting topics which to be honest have no place in decent society yet alone a football message board, it just gives a generally bad impression of the board as a whole. Its quite sad people find it necessary to post all this sort of controversial material on a board that is geared towards a football team that tries hard to promote a family image. In my opinion, if people wish to post the sort of crude topics that have come up recently, then they should find another site where they can join a sad cyber clique who have nothing better to do but try and justify their moronic debate by sharing it with other like minded souls.

A few months ago there were a few good political debates in the pub and that was great. However it seems a few too many just post controversy for the sake of it and thus ruin perfectly good debate
